Omschrijving
SCHEEPSHELLING, bestaande uit een wagen- en een sleehelling, die deel uitmaakt van de rond 1870 gebouwde scheepswerf Meerman. Oorspronkelijk bevonden zich waarschijnlijk drie scheepshellingen op de werf. De oudste helling dateerde uit de jaren 1763-1766.
De scheepshelling ligt ten zuiden van de grote en kleine loods. De wagenhelling bestaat uit een hellend vlak met daarop een constructie uit hout en beton waarop ijzeren rails liggen. Eén van deze rails is aangebracht op de oude fundamenten van een voormalige sleephelling. Ook hellinglier met toebehoren zijn nog aanwezig. Direct naast de rails is de sleehelling aangebracht: een betonnen platform met goten die tot in het water aflopen en die dient voor de tewaterlating van de schepen. Naast deze helling bevinden zich op het terrein nog (restanten van) twee andere scheepshellingen die buiten de bescherming vallen.

De SCHEEPSHELLING is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- de cultuurhistorische waarde;
- de industrieel-archeologische waarde;
- de functionele en ruimtelijk-visuele relatie met de grote en kleine loods en het pekkot.

Description
SHIP SLIPWAY, consisting of a wheeled and a sledge slipway, which forms part of the shipyard Meerman built around 1870. Originally there were probably three ship slipways on the yard. The oldest slipway dated from 1763-1766.
The ship slipway lies to the south of the large and small shed. The wheeled slipway consists of an inclined plane with a construction of wood and concrete on which iron rails lie. One of these rails is laid on the old foundations of a former sledge slipway. A slipway winch with accessories are also still present. Directly next to the rails the sledge slipway is arranged: a concrete platform with channels running down into the water which serves for the launching of ships. Next to this slipway there are (remains of) two other ship slipways on the site which fall outside the protection.

The SHIP SLIPWAY is of general importance on account of:
- the cultural-historical value;
- the industrial-archaeological value;
- the functional and spatial-visual relationship with the large and small shed and the pitch house.
