Omschrijving onderdeel 6:
BEELDENGROEP EUROPA EN AFRIKA met de allegorische figuren van Afrika (links) en Europa (rechts), overblijfsel van de zeventiende-eeuwse tuinaanleg van de buitenplaats gesitueerd op de oorspronkelijke plek aan de waterkant van de omgrachting aan de linkerzijde van het slot, en functionerend als uitstroming van de waterbron. De beelden zijn uitgevoerd in oorspronkelijk gepolychromeerde Bentheimer zandsteen met een onderbouw van baksteen. De groep omvat twee personificaties liggend naar elkaar toe aan weerszijden van een kleine cascade die in de gracht loost. De groep is gesigneerd aan de voorzijde door Albert Xavery.

IMAGE GROUP EUROPA AND AFRICA with the allegorical figures of Africa (left) and Europe (right), remnant of the seventeenth-century garden layout of the country estate situated in the original location at the waterside of the moat on the left side of the castle, and functioning as the outflow of the water source. The images are executed in originally polychrome Bentheim sandstone with a foundation of brick. The group comprises two personifications lying towards each other on either side of a small cascade that flows into the moat. The group is signed on the front by Albert Xavery.
