Omschrijving
Het begin van de oprijlaan wordt aan de Koningslaan gemarkeerd door een stel hardstenen HEK- of SCHAMPPALEN op achthoekige plattegrond met halfronde afgeplatte top. In een terugliggende band is de naam van de buitenplaats uitgespaard. In zwart geschilderde letters is links OUD AME= en rechts LISWEERD te lezen. De palen dateren vermoedelijk uit de 19de eeuw.
Waardering
De HEK- of SCHAMPPALEN behorende tot de buitenplaats Oud Amelisweerd zijn van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;

The beginning of the driveway is marked at Koningslaan by a pair of sandstone GATE POSTS or PIERS on an octagonal ground plan with semi-rounded flattened top. In a recessed band the name of the country estate is spared out. In black painted letters on the left OUD AME= and on the right LISWEERD are to be read. The posts date presumably from the 19th century.
