Omschrijving onderdeel 2:
PARKAANLEG, XIXb, wellicht gedeeltelijk op oudere grondslag; het hoofdmoment van de eenvoudige landschappelijke aanleg zijn de door bos omzoomde weilanden vóór en achter het huis; globaal gezien heeft de voorwei de vorm van een driehoek, waarvan de basis, het laagste punt, gevormd wordt door de Arnhemsestraatweg; bovenaan, in de punt, ligt het witte huis; de wei wordt aan de twee andere zijden begrensd door golvende randen van oud loofhout; de westelijke rand is in feite de oprijlaan, die bij de dienstwoning aan de straatweg begint en onregelmatig beplant is met diverse soorten loofhout, waarvan de oude tamme kastanjes het meest in het oog springend zijn; de laan is geasfalteerd; ten westen van de oprijlaan ligt een strook bos, en daarnaast het relatief grote terrein van de voormalige boomgaard en moestuin; dit terrein wordt aan de west- en de noordzijde begrensd door een tuinmuur (zie onder 4). Ten westen van de tuinmuur ligt een wei, die als buffer in het complex opgenomen is. Direct achter het huis (noordzijde) ligt een geheel door bos omgeven weiland, dat enigszins geaccidenteerd is; de rest van het park (naast de weilanden en de moestuin) bestaat uit opgaand bos, waarin nog een patroon van slingerpaden te herkennen is; ten westen van het huis, in het bos, liggen de restanten van een neo-geometrische, gedeeltelijk verdiepte rozentuin, XXa: o.a.: een natuurstenen taludtrapje met vier treden en bakstenen wangen; verder uitgegroeide taxus- en buxusvormen; direct ten oosten van het huis staat een kort stuk laan met oude linden.

PARK LAYOUT, second half of 19th century, possibly partly on older foundations; the main feature of the simple landscape design are the meadows bordered by woodland in front of and behind the house; broadly speaking, the front meadow has the shape of a triangle, of which the base, the lowest point, is formed by the Arnhemsestraatweg; at the top, at the point, lies the white house; the meadow is bounded on the other two sides by undulating edges of old deciduous woodland; the western edge is in fact the drive, which begins at the service house on the road and is irregularly planted with various types of deciduous trees, of which the old sweet chestnut trees are the most striking; the lane is asphalted; to the west of the drive lies a strip of woodland, and next to it the relatively large area of the former orchard and kitchen garden; this area is bounded on the west and north sides by a garden wall (see under 4). To the west of the garden wall lies a meadow, which is included as a buffer in the complex. Directly behind the house (north side) lies a meadow entirely surrounded by woodland, which is somewhat undulating; the rest of the park (apart from the meadows and the kitchen garden) consists of woodland, in which a pattern of winding paths can still be recognised; to the west of the house, in the woodland, lie the remains of a neo-geometric, partially sunken rose garden, first half of 20th century: including: a natural stone flight of steps with four treads and brick sides; further overgrown yew and box forms; directly to the east of the house stands a short section of lane with old lime trees.
