Inleiding
Gebouw E3 ligt in een brinkachtige omgeving, globaal tussen nummer 33 en 35, ongeveer tegenover gebouw 36, in het zuidwestelijk kwadrant van de T-kruising van een rechte en een iets noordelijker gelegen, flauw gebogen oost-westverbinding op Groot-Heidekamp. De daknok is van zuidwest naar noordoost gericht. Gebouw E3 is een in 1940-1941 tot stand gekomen schuur en is op macroniveau onderdeel van een grote militaire vliegveldstructuur uit de jaren 1940-1945, op mesoniveau van een ijl complex van in een uitwaaierend brinkdorpachtig verband geplaatste gebouwen, en hierbinnen op microniveau van een reeks in los lineair verband gepositioneerde panden. Het pand is thans in gebruik als stalling.
Omschrijving
Eenlaagse bakstenen SCHUUR op een rechthoekige plattegrond met smalle steunbeertjes op de hoeken van alle gevels, onder een flauw hellend schilddak met kort overstek en belegd met grauwe gegolfde verbeterde holle (Hollandse) pannen. Rondom, direct onder het overstek, een ongeveer 50 cm hoge op een rollaag geplaatste strook van wijdmazig aangebracht verticaal latwerk. Centraal in de zuidelijke langsgevel / hoofdgevel een toegangsopening, waarin - blijkens duimen - de voorheen aanwezige dubbele deuren thans ontbreken. Overige gevels zijn blind beneden het verticale latwerk. Het interieur wordt gevormd door een ongedeelde ruimte waarin sporen aanwezig zijn van vroegere lage bakstenen scheidingsmuurtjes. Open kap met houten spanten, sporen en panlatten.

SCHUUR, van algemeen belang als goed herkenbaar onderdeel van een uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog stammend en door de Duitse bezetter als onderdeel van een groot militair vliegveld opgezet legerkamp, vanwege: stedenbouwkundige, krijgs- en cultuurhistorische en complex- en ensemblewaarden, die onder meer kunnen blijken uit de voor de bouwtijd kenmerkende onderdelen en details, uit de kunstmatig opgezette brinkdorpstructuur en de tot in detaillering doorgevoerde camouflage, uit de samenhang van en met het totale militaire vliegveldconcept en de ruimtelijke hoofdlijnen en onderdelen van het kampement, en uit de onderlinge verwantschap van de hierbij toegepaste vormen.

Building E3 stands in a green-village-like setting, roughly between numbers 33 and 35, approximately opposite building 36, in the south-west quadrant of the T-junction of a straight and a slightly more northerly, gently curved east-west connection on Groot-Heidekamp. The roof ridge is oriented from south-west to north-east. Building E3 is a barn built in 1940-1941 and is at macrolevel part of a large military airfield structure from the years 1940-1945, at mesolevel of a sparse complex of buildings arranged in a radiating green-village-like manner, and within this at microlevel of a series of buildings positioned in loose linear arrangement. The building is currently in use as a storage shed.
Description
Single-storey brick BARN on a rectangular plan with narrow buttresses on the corners of all facades, under a gently sloping hipped roof with short eaves overhang and clad with grey corrugated improved hollow (Dutch) tiles. All around, directly below the eaves, an approximately 50 cm high strip of widely spaced applied vertical lathwork. Centrally in the southern long side / main facade a doorway opening, in which – to judge by nail holes – the previously existing double doors are now absent. Remaining facades are blank below the vertical lathwork. The interior is formed by an undivided space in which traces are present of earlier low brick partition walls. Open roof truss with wooden rafters, purlins and tile battens.

BARN, of general interest as a readily recognisable component of a military camp dating from the Second World War and set up by the German occupier as part of a large military airfield, by reason of: urban planning, military and cultural-historical and complex and ensemble values, which can be demonstrated inter alia by components and details characteristic of the building period, by the artificially created green-village structure and the camouflage carried through in detail, by the coherence of and with the overall military airfield concept and the spatial principal lines and components of the encampment, and by the mutual relationship of the forms applied herein.
