Omschrijving onderdeel 2: Muur met toegangspoort.
Rond de Israëlitische begraafplaats een manshoge bakstenen MUUR (1805) MET TOEGANGSPOORT. De in 1903 tot drie meter hoogte opgetrokken poort bevindt zich aan de voorzijde. In de meest zuidelijke hoek is in de jaren dertig van de 20ste eeuw een deel van de muur vernieuwd in verband met de verkoop van een belendend perceel aan de gemeente Bloemendaal. De toegangspoort is voorzien van een smeedijzeren hek, bestaande uit twee openslaande delen. Dit hek werd in 1982 aangebracht ter vervanging van gesloten houten deuren en is vanuit het oogpunt van monumentenzorg van ondergeschikt belang. Aan de linkerzijde van het hek bevindt zich in de muur een blindnis, aan de andere zijde een kleine houten toegangsdeur. De gehele muur is voorzien van een ezelsrug en verbrede plint. Met name in de zuidmuur zijn hardstenen aanzetstenen en een sluitsteen aangebracht, voornamelijk om de krachten van de gemetselde boog boven de toegang op te vangen. Op één van deze blokken is een Hebreeuwse tekst uitgehakt. De overige muurdelen zijn waarschijnlijk in 1903 gepleisterd. Vermoedelijk na de oorlog is op de muur een extra metalen afrastering geplaatst. De ijzeren staken voor deze afrastering zijn daartoe in de muur gemetseld.

De omringende MUUR MET TOEGANGSPOORT is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch, genealogisch en funerairhistorisch belang:

Description of component 2: Wall with access gate.
Around the Israëlitische begraafplaats a man-high brick WALL (1805) WITH ACCESS GATE. The gate, raised to three metres high in 1903, is located at the front. In the 1930s, part of the wall in the southernmost corner was renewed in connection with the sale of an adjacent plot to the municipality of Bloemendaal. The access gate is furnished with a wrought-iron gate, consisting of two hinged sections. This gate was installed in 1982 to replace closed wooden doors and is of secondary importance from a heritage conservation perspective. On the left side of the gate in the wall is a blind opening, on the other side a small wooden access door. The entire wall is furnished with a half-hipped roof moulding and widened plinth. Particularly in the south wall, ashlar corner stones and a keystone have been placed, mainly to absorb the forces of the masonry arch above the entrance. On one of these blocks a Hebrew text has been carved. The remaining wall sections were presumably plastered in 1903. Presumably after the war, an additional metal fence was placed on the wall. The iron posts for this fence were mortared into the wall for this purpose.
