Omschrijving onderdeel 16: OUDE HUIS VAN DE WERKBAAS.
Kleine woning uit het eind van de 19de eeuw onder afgeplat schilddak met aan de linkerzijde onder lang dakschild: dit stukje is later aangebouwd. Het huisje was tot 1904 het huis van de werkbaas, thans een winkeltje. Het gebouw is opgetrokken van rode baksteen, gecementeerde plint. In de voorgevel een eenvoudige deur met bovenlicht, twee zesruitsvensters met luiken en een klein vierruitsvenster met luiken. In de zijgevels lage roedevensters. De achteraanbouw is recent.

Het OUDE HUIS VAN DE WERKBAAS behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Vilsteren, is van algemeen architectuurhistorisch en cultuurhistorisch belang:

Description
Description component 16: OLD HOUSE OF THE FOREMAN.
Small dwelling from the end of the 19th century beneath a flattened hipped roof with on the left side beneath a long roof slope: this part was added later. The cottage was until 1904 the house of the foreman, now a small shop. The building is constructed of red brick, cement plinth. In the front facade a simple door with fanlight, two six-pane windows with shutters and a small four-pane window with shutters. In the side facades low glazing-bar windows. The rear extension is recent.
