Omschrijving onderdeel 15: HUIS VAN DE WERKBAAS.
Van oorsprong een dienstwoning voor de werkbaas, in 1904 gebouwd (jaartalsteen) en behorend bij het huis Vilsteren. Het pand ligt teruggerooid ten opzichte van de Borrinkdijk op een rechthoekige plattegrond. De woning is opgetrokken van baksteen en staat onder een zadeldak, gedekt met muldepannen. Fraai gefiguurzaagde windveren langs de dakrand. Bord met 'De Werkbaas' in geveltop. Symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel van vijf vensterassen waarvan de middelste tussen twee lisenen. De entree ligt in een ondiep portiek met getoogde afsluiting. De getoogde vensters aan weerszijden van de ingang en op de zolderverdieping hebben een gedeeld bovenlicht. Om de bovenlichten van de vensters gemetselde lijsten van gele baksteen evenals om de driehoekige spaarvelden ter weerszijden van het zoldervenster. Tussen de vensters en op de verdieping sierankers.

Description
Description component 15: HOUSE OF THE FOREMAN.
Originally a service dwelling for the foreman, built in 1904 (date stone) and belonging to Huis Vilsteren. The building is set back from the Borrinkdijk on a rectangular floor plan. The dwelling is constructed of brick and stands beneath a gabled roof, covered with curved tiles. Attractively pierced carved wind vanes along the roof edge. Sign reading 'De Werkbaas' in the gable top. Symmetrically arranged front facade of five window bays, the middle one between two pilasters. The entrance is in a shallow porch with arched closure. The arched windows on either side of the entrance and on the attic storey have a divided fanlight. Brick lintels of yellow brick around the fanlights of the windows as well as around the triangular spandrels on either side of the attic window. Wall anchors between the windows and on the storey.
