KANONKAZEMAT uit 1943, type 611, Geschützschartenstand für Feldgeschütze (60°), naar ontwerp van de genie van de Duitse Landmacht (General der Pioniere und Festungen) van het Obercommando des Heeres te Berlijn. Uitgevoerd met gebruikmaking van houtbekisting. Voor de Atlantikwall bijzonder vanwege toepassing van dubbele functie voor geschut en personeel, bovendien aanbouw van hulzenkelder aan de zijkant in plaats van onder de geschutsruimte. De oorzaak is de hoge grondwaterstand. Het ontbreken van een aarden dekking is originele situatie. Onderdeel van het complex Landfront Vlissingen, binnen het Stützpunkt Von Kleist (Artillerieopstelling Verbrande Hofweg).

Description
CANNON CASEMATE from 1943, type 611, Geschützschartenstand für Feldgeschütze (60°), according to design of the engineering corps of the German Army (General der Pioniere und Festungen of the Obercommando des Heeres) in Berlin. Executed using wooden formwork. Remarkable for the Atlantic Wall due to the application of dual function for gun and personnel, furthermore the addition of a cartridge store to the side rather than beneath the gun room. The cause is the high groundwater level. The absence of an earthen covering is the original condition. Component of the Landfront Vlissingen complex, within the Stützpunkt Von Kleist (Artillery emplacement Verbrande Hofweg).
