Inleiding
Jachtopzienerswoning met schuur/stal behorende tot de buitenplaats Nijenhuis, gelegen in het uiterste zuiden van het wandelbos.
Omschrijving
Ornamentele JACHTOPZIENERSWONING uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw. Het pand op T-vormige plattegrond bestaat uit één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping. Het voorhuis wordt overkapt door een rietgedekt schilddak met overstek, rode nokvorsten en centrale gemetselde schoorsteen. Het dak loopt evenwijdig aan de voorgevel. Het haaks op het voorhuis geplaatste achterhuis wordt overkapt door een lager afgewolfd rietgedekte zadeldak, eveneens met overstek, rode nokvorsten en gemetselde schoorsteen. Dit dak is haaks op het achterschild van het voorhuis aangekapt. De gevels zijn voorzien van een ruwe cementlaag waardoor de uitstraling van gebouchardeerde hardsteen wordt nagebootst. Het voorhuis heeft een symmetrische indeling. In de hoger opgetrokken en door een afgewolfde steekkap met forse overstek bekroonde risalerende middenpartij een terugliggend twaalfruits schuifvenster met daarboven een vierruits venster. De nokhoogte van de steekkap is gelijk aan de nokhoogte van de kap van het achterhuis. De middenpartij had op begane grond-niveau oorspronkelijk waarschijnlijk een andere invulling, het gevelvlak heeft hier namelijk een gladdere afwerking. Links en rechts van de middenpartij is het voorhuis driezijdig uitgebouwd en voorzien van schuifvensters met paneelluiken, eerst een negenruits venster, dan een zesruits venster op het schuine gevelvlak en aan de linkerzijde tenslotten weer een negenruits venster op het zijgevelvlak. De vensters zijn allemaal voorzien van een hardstenen onderdorpel en alle vensteropeningen zijn getoogd aan de bovenzijde. De rechter zijgevel van het achterhuis is voorzien van drie zesruits schuifvensters met paneelluiken en hardstenen onderdorpel. Op het dakschild een rietgedekte dakkapel met dubbel draairaam. In de linker zijgevel van het achterhuis een toegangsdeur met links daarvan een dubbel meerruits venster zonder luiken. Tegen de achtergevel van het achterhuis een niet oorspronkelijke kleine aanbouw onder een met gesmoorde pannen gedekt zadeldak. Rechts van deze aanbouw een meerruits venster. Ten noordwesten van de woning een bijpassende schuur/stal op rechthoekige grondslag, bestaande uit één bouwlaag onder een rietgedekt zadeldak met rode nokvorsten en een gemetselde schoorsteen op het linker dakschild. In de voorgevel centraal een opgeklampte houten deur met vierruits nevenlicht en daarboven een dubbel houten hooiluik. In de linker zijgevel een klein venster. In de achtergevel op symmetrische wijze twee houten opgeklampte deuren.

De JACHTOPZIENERSWONING deeluitmakend van een complex van jachtopzienerswoning met schuur/stal, behorende tot de buitenplaats Nijenhuis, is van algemeen belang:

Description
Ornamental HUNT-KEEPER'S DWELLING from the early 20th century. The building with T-shaped floor plan consists of one storey and a roof-space storey. The front house is covered by a thatch-covered hipped roof with overhang, red ridge finials and central brick chimney. The roof runs parallel to the front facade. The rear house placed at right angles to the front house is covered by a lower arched thatch-covered gabled roof, also with overhang, red ridge finials and brick chimney. This roof is attached at right angles to the rear wall of the front house. The facades are provided with a rough cement layer which imitates the appearance of pitched-face stone. The front house has a symmetrical arrangement. In the higher raised central section crowned with an arched roof gable with substantial overhang, a recessed twelve-part sash window with above it a four-part window. The ridge height of the roof gable is equal to the ridge height of the roof of the rear house. The central section originally had a different treatment at ground-floor level, the facade surface here having a smoother finish. To the left and right of the central section the front house is built out three-sided and provided with sash windows with panel shutters, first a nine-part window, then a six-part window on the sloping facade and on the left side finally again a nine-part window on the side facade. The windows are all provided with stone lintels and all window openings are arched at the top. The right side facade of the rear house is provided with three six-part sash windows with panel shutters and stone lintels. On the roof slope a thatch-covered roof dormer with double casement window. In the left side facade of the rear house an entrance door with to its left a double multi-part window without shutters. Against the rear facade of the rear house a non-original small extension under a gabled roof covered with dark-glazed tiles. To the right of this extension a multi-part window. To the northwest of the dwelling a matching shed/stable on rectangular base, consisting of one storey under a thatch-covered gabled roof with red ridge finials and a brick chimney on the left roof slope. In the front facade centrally a clamped wooden door with four-part side light and above it a double wooden hay door. In the left side facade a small window. In the rear facade symmetrically two wooden clamped split doors.
