Omschrijving onderdeel 2. Historische tuin- en parkaanleg
De aanleg rond het huis is een ontwerp van de tuinarchitect L. A. Springer uit 1916-1917. Hij maakte gebruik van de situatie ter plaatse: een landschapspark met moestuincomplex en schiep daar een aanleg in gemengde stijl. Bij het huis overwegend in formele stijl; verder van het huis weg versterkte hij de landschappelijke aanleg waarbij hij de bestaande bouw- en weilanden incorporeerde. Om te beginnen legde hij ten oosten van het huis een ovale bloemparterre aan, van waaruit straalsgewijs lanen uitwaaierden, met als hoofdelement een oost-west lopende beukenlaan. Afgezien van de bloemparterre is deze structuur goed bewaard gebleven. Ten zuiden van de beukenlaan versterkte Springer het bestaande, reliëfrijke landschappelijke park door de aanleg van gebogen paden rond open gazons en dichte wandelbosjes, begeleid met boomgroepen en heesters. In het landschapspark situeerde hij een deels ommuurde, deels omhaagde moestuin met koude bakken en een te verwarmen kas. Het merendeel hiervan is bewaard gebleven. Eveneens in het landschapspark maakte hij een 'koepel' aan een van de gebogen lanen met een zicht op het huis. De koepel zelf is verplaatst (zie hiervoor onderdeel 5), het fundament is nog aanwezig. Direct ten noorden van de beukenlaan kwamen een dieper liggende tennisbaan met huisje en een croquetveld. De structuur van beide is nog steeds aanwezig. Het huisje is verplaatst tot bij het huis (zie hiervoor onderdeel 4). Ten noorden en oosten van het huis kwam een deels ommuurde moestuin met elkaar kruisende rechte lanen, een omhaagde boomgaard en een geometrisch aangelegde tuin met halfronde beëindiging met plantvakken. Rond de hele plaats legde hij deels langs de kronkelende Eefsche beek een wandeling aan begeleid door boomgroepen en heesters met wisselende uitzichten op het huis. Een kleine halve maanvormige vijver ligt bij de wandeling langs de Eefsche beek aan de oostkant. Door deels 'natuurlijke' afscheidingen als de Eefsche beek en de spoorlijn en de afscheiding met een haag en hek langs de Schoolstraat en de Zutphenseweg heeft de buitenplaats een besloten karakter. De enige twee doorzichten die Springer vanuit het huis naar buiten schiep liepen in zuidwestelijke richting over het gazon richting Zutphenseweg. Deze zijn dichtgezet.

Description component 2. Historic garden and park layout
The layout around the house is a design by landscape architect L. A. Springer from 1916-1917. He made use of the situation on the site: a landscape park with kitchen garden complex and created a layout in mixed style. Near the house predominantly in formal style; further away from the house he reinforced the landscape layout whereby he incorporated the existing building and meadow lands. To begin with, he laid out an oval flower parterre to the east of the house, from which radiating paths fanned out, with an east-west running beech avenue as the main element. Apart from the flower parterre, this structure has been well preserved. To the south of the beech avenue, Springer reinforced the existing, relief-rich landscape park through the layout of curved paths around open lawns and dense woodland walks, accompanied by groups of trees and shrubs. In the landscape park he positioned a partly walled, partly hedged kitchen garden with cold frames and a heated greenhouse. Most of this has been preserved. Also in the landscape park he created a 'pavilion' on one of the curved paths with a view of the house. The pavilion itself has been relocated (see component 5 for this), the foundation is still present. Directly to the north of the beech avenue came a lower-lying tennis court with a small building and a croquet lawn. The structure of both is still present. The small building has been relocated next to the house (see component 4 for this). To the north and east of the house came a partly walled kitchen garden with intersecting straight paths, a hedged orchard and a geometrically laid out garden with semi-circular termination with planting beds. Around the entire property he laid out a walk partly along the winding Eefsche stream, accompanied by groups of trees and shrubs with changing views of the house. A small crescent-shaped pond lies by the walk along the Eefsche stream on the east side. Through partly 'natural' divisions such as the Eefsche stream and the railway line and the division with a hedge and fence along the Schoolstraat and the Zutphenseweg, the estate has an enclosed character. The only two vistas that Springer created from the house outward ran in a southwestern direction over the lawn towards the Zutphenseweg. These have been closed off.
