Inleiding:
De kazemat is in 1944 gebouwd in het kader van de uitbouw van de Duitse Pantherstellung en is gelegen op het gedeelte van de liniedijk in de gemeente Leusden tussen de kruising met de Leusbroekerweg en de grens met de gemeente Woudenberg. Het is één van de in totaal 4 kanonkazematten uit deze periode die op dit gedeelte van de liniedijk nog resteren.
Omschrijving:
In 1944 aangelegd VERDEDIGINGSWERK, bestaande uit een betonnen Duitse kanonkazemat. De kazemat is gebouwd in het kader van de uitbouw van de Duitse Pantherstellung en is gelegen aan de achterzijde van een verbreed stuk op de liniedijk.
Het betreft hier een flankerende betonkazemat. De kazemat was bewapend met een zware mitrailleur en was bedoeld voor flankerend vuur. De vijandzijde is gedekt door 1,20 m gewapend beton, terwijl het dak 1 meter dik is en de achterzijde 80 cm. Het schietgat met een schootsveld van 40 graden is gedekt door een uitsteeksel van beton, zodat de opening voor de vijand moeilijk was waar te nemen. De deur was uitgerust met een geweerschietgat.
