Inleiding:
De kazemat is in 1944 gebouwd in het kader van de uitbouw van de Duitse Pantherstellung en is gelegen op het gedeelte van de liniedijk in de gemeente Leusden tussen de kruising met de Langbroekerweg en de grens met de gemeente Woudenberg. Het is één van de in totaal 4 kanonkazematten uit deze periode die op dit gedeelte van de liniedijk nog resteren.
Omschrijving:
In 1944 aangelegd VERDEDIGINGSWERK, bestaande uit een betonnen Duitse kanonkazemat. De kazemat is gebouwd in het kader van de uitbouw van de Duitse Pantherstellung is gelegen tegen en gedeeltelijk in de westzijde van de liniedijk.
Het betreft hier een kazemat van het type R 703 voor pantserafweergeschut voor 88 mm geschut (Pak43). De kazemat heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond met een oppervlak van 9,30 bij 7, 50 meter. De kazemat heeft een achteruitgang. De bunker bestaat uit twee ruimtes, de achterste voor de opslag van munitie met daarvoor een gevechtsruimte. De bunker heeft één schietgat aan de voorzijde en een ingang aan de achterzijde. Het schietgat heeft een verspringende vertanding om de kans op voltreffers te verminderen. DE constructie is in gewapend beton met 2 meter dikke muren en stalen profielen bij ingang en schietgat.
