Omschrijving complexonderdeel 7
Aan de oostzijde van de kloosterdrukkerij staat een MACHINEHAL met daarin een stoommachine en een aansluitend KETELHUIS. De machinehal heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond, telt één bouwlaag en heeft een zadeldak met pannen met daarin een lichtkap. In de kopgevel worden drie venstertraveeën gescheiden door lisenen, er zijn segmentboogvormige vensters met roedeverdeling. In de topgevel is een segmentboogvormig venster met aan weerszijden een kleiner venster aangebracht. De voorgevel is geleed met met lisenen en vijf segmentboogvormige vensters met roedeverdeling. In de machinehal staat een authentieke stoommachine uit 1909, vervaardigd door de Hannoversche Maschinenbau Aktien Gesellschaft te Hannover-Linden und Chemnitz. De vloer van de machinehal is vernieuwd, de lambrisering bestaat uit baksteen, de dakconstructie wordt geschraagd door stalen vakwerkspanten. In het verlengde van de machinehal staat het ketelhuis; in 1950 werd het met een bouwlaag verhoogd. De gevelindeling (parterre) is sterk verwant aan die van de voorgevel van de machinehal, er zijn vier vensters en een segmentboogvormige deur. In het ketelhuis staan twee grote verwarmingsketels uit circa 1952 opgesteld, afkomstig van de firma Steinmüller; bekleding met geel en bruin geglazuurde baksteen.

Description of complex component 7
On the east side of the monastery printing works stands a MACHINE HALL containing a steam engine and an adjoining BOILER HOUSE. The machine hall has a rectangular floor plan, comprises one storey and has a gabled roof with tiles incorporating a skylight. In the end gable are three window bays separated by pilasters, with segmental arch-shaped windows with glazing bars. In the apex gable is a segmental arch-shaped window with a smaller window on either side. The front facade is articulated with pilasters and five segmental arch-shaped windows with glazing bars. In the machine hall stands an authentic steam engine from 1909, manufactured by the Hannoversche Maschinenbau Aktien Gesellschaft in Hannover-Linden und Chemnitz. The floor of the machine hall has been renewed, the wall panelling consists of brick, the roof structure is supported by steel truss girders. Adjacent to the machine hall stands the boiler house; in 1950 it was heightened by one storey. The facade articulation (ground floor) is closely related to that of the front facade of the machine hall, with four windows and a segmental arch-shaped door. In the boiler house stand two large heating boilers from circa 1952, supplied by the firm Steinmüller; cladding with yellow and brown glazed brick.
