Inleiding
TUINHUIS, behorend bij het pand aan de Keizersgracht 616 dat reeds van rijkswege is beschermd onder monumentnummer 2675. Het tuinhuis staat tegen de achtergrens en over de volle breedte van het perceel.
Omschrijving
Het bakstenen tuinhuis heeft één bouwlaag met plat dak en dateert uit de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw. Onder het tuinhuis bevindt zich een kruipruimte. Het tuinhuis heeft een vooruitspringend middengedeelte met dubbele, naar buiten openslaande deuren met roedeverdeling en houten pilasters ter weerszijden. Ter linker- en rechterzijde een houten venster met roedeverdeling. De linker- en rechtertravee bevatten beide een houten paneeldeur boven een hardstenen plint. De kozijnen van zowel de dubbele deur als de vensters en de bovenlichten hebben getoogde bovendorpels. Het interieur van het tuinhuis bestaat thans uit één ruimte en heeft een houten (twintigste-eeuwse)vloer. Voorheen zou het tuinhuis naast een centrale ruimte twee kleine vertrekken ter weerszijden hebben gekend die toegang boden naar de dienstwoningen in de Kerkstraat.
Waardering
Het tuinhuis is van architectuur- en cultuurhistorisch belang als gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een negentiende-eeuwse tuinhuis. Daarnaast is het tuinhuis van ruimtelijk funcioneel belang vanwege de historische relatie met de tuin en het grachtenhuis, als neerslag van de keurblokken zoals die voor de grachtengordel waren opgesteld.

GARDEN HOUSE, belonging to the building at Keizersgracht 616 which is already protected by the state under monument number 2675. The garden house stands against the rear boundary and across the full width of the plot.
Description
The brick garden house has one storey with flat roof and dates from the second half of the nineteenth century. Beneath the garden house is a crawl space. The garden house has a projecting central section with double doors opening outward with glazing bars and wooden pilasters on either side. To the left and right side a wooden window with glazing bars. The left and right bays each contain a wooden panel door above a stone plinth. The frames of both the double door and the windows and the fanlights have arched upper door-cheeks. The interior of the garden house currently consists of one room and has a wooden (twentieth-century) floor. Previously the garden house would have had next to a central room two small compartments on either side which provided access to the service dwellings in the Kerkstraat.
Valuation
The garden house is of architectural and cultural-historical importance as a well-preserved example of a nineteenth-century garden house. Furthermore, the garden house is of spatial-functional importance due to the historical relationship with the garden and the canal house, as a reflection of the block divisions as these were laid out for the canal ring.
