TOEGANGSPOORT. Het poortgebouw is opgetrokken van blokken in Bentheimer zandsteen met terug liggende voegen. De zijvlakken boven de brug zijn opgevuld met baksteen. De pilasters ondersteunen een architraaf dat rondom het bouwsel aanwezig is. Aan vier zijden beëindigd met een segmentboogvormig fronton. In de frontons aan voor- en achterzijde zijn de alliantiewapens Bentinck-Van Ittersum aangebracht (Bentinck zilveren ankerkruis in blauw veld, Ittersum drie rode ezelskoppen in zilveren veld. Daaronder jaartal 1685.

GATE BUILDING. The gate building is built of blocks of Bentheimer sandstone with recessed joints. The side surfaces above the bridge are filled in with brick. The pilasters support an architrave that is present around the entire structure. Terminated on four sides with a segmented arch-shaped pediment. In the pediments on the front and rear sides are the alliance coats of arms Bentinck-Van Ittersum (Bentinck silver anchor cross in blue field, Ittersum three red ass's heads in silver field). Below this the date 1685.
