Omschrijving onderdeel 1: BOERENERF.
BOERENERF behorend bij complex historisch boerenerf Klein Valkeneng. Het erf is relatief klein en compact bebouwd. Vanaf de weg is er een vrij zicht op de boerderij. De oprijlaan bevindt zich aan de rechterzijde met aan weerszijden daarvan links de boerderij, respectievelijk de varkensschuur en rechts de voormalige schaapskooi respectievelijk de hooiberg. Voor het erf zijn de positionering van deze opstallen belangrijk alsmede hun massa en het historische materiaalgebruik (gepotdekselde houten wanden en pannen daken). Aan de voorzijde ligt een eenvoudige boerentuin bestaande uit een grasperk met een border. Aan de linkerzijde een solitaire linde. Voor het overige is het erf half verhard.
Waardering
Het BOERENERF is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- de cultuurhistorische waarde als goed voorbeeld van een eenvoudig, historisch gegroeid boerenerf met 18de-eeuwse boerderij;
- de typologische waarde vanwege zeldzame dan wel zeldzaam wordende opstallen zoals de voormalige schaapskooi en de hooiberg;
- de ensemblewaarde vanwege zowel de functionele en ruimtelijke samenhang van de onderdelen als de relatie tot de bebouwing van kasteel Maarsbergen;
- de stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de markante ligging.

Description of component 1: FARMYARD.
FARMYARD belonging to the complex historic farmyard Klein Valkeneng. The yard is relatively small and compactly built. From the road there is a clear view of the farmhouse. The access road is located on the right side with on either side of it the farmhouse on the left, respectively the pig shed and on the right the former sheep shelter respectively the hay barn. For the yard the positioning of these outbuildings is important as well as their mass and the historical use of materials (pot-tiled wooden walls and tiled roofs). At the front is a simple farm garden consisting of a grass plot with a border. On the left side a solitary lime tree. For the rest the yard is half paved.
Valuation
The FARMYARD is of general importance because of:
- the cultural historical value as a good example of a simple, historically developed farmyard with an 18th-century farmhouse;
- the typological value because of rare or increasingly rare outbuildings such as the former sheep shelter and the hay barn;
- the ensemble value because of both the functional and spatial coherence of the components and the relationship to the buildings of Maarsbergen castle;
