Omschrijving onderdeel 7. Hek.
Het vroeg negentiende-eeuwse gietijzeren toegangshek van Vredenoord aan de Jan Thijssenweg staat aan de noordpunt van het terrein aan het begin van de oprijlaan. Het bestaat uit gietijzeren gecanneleerde hekpalen met vergulde dennenappel bekroond waarop de naam Vreden Oord, waartussen een gebogen spijlenhek met speerpunten. Het onderste deel bestaat uit een roosterwerk, met rozetten op de kruispunten.

Het toegangshek, behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Vredenoord is van belang:

Description of component 7. Gate.
The early 19th-century cast-iron access gate of Vredenoord at the Jan Thijssenweg stands at the northern point of the grounds at the beginning of the drive. It consists of cast-iron fluted gate posts crowned with gilded pine cones, on which the name Vreden Oord, between which is a curved spear-pointed railed gate. The lower part consists of latticework with rosettes at the intersections.
