Inleiding
MOLENROMP. De achtkante bovenkruier met de naam 'De Vensermolen' is in 1704 gebouwd en ingericht als poldermolen voor de bemaling van de Venserpolder. De molen heeft op dezelfde standplaats een voorganger gekend. De molen is in 1934 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de kap, de romp tot de kapzolder en het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De molenromp kreeg een functie als elektrisch gemaal met woning. De molenromp heeft thans een functie als woning en ligt aan de Weespertrekvaart bij de Harteveldsebrug in een inmiddels verstedelijkte omgeving.
Omschrijving
De molenromp bestaat uit een lage gemetselde bakstenen voet met daarop een houten achtkant. De van twee bintlagen voorziene molenromp is ter hoogte van de kapzolder ingekort, is ter hoogte van de beganegrond bekleed met hout, is vanaf de duisplanken gedekt met riet en is voorzien van een plat dak. In het rietdek zijn de jaartallen 1704 en 1934 gedekt.
Waardering
De molenromp is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch-historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een houten achtkante poldermolen uit het begin van de 18e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als essentieel onderdeel van de ontginnings- en waterstaatkundige geschiedenis van Noord-Holland en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;

Introduction
MILL BODY. The octagonal upper mill, with the name 'De Vensermolen', was built in 1704 and set up as a polder mill for the drainage of the Venserpolder. The mill had a predecessor on the same site. The mill was dismantled in 1934, at which time the sail cross, the cap, the body up to the cap floor and the working machinery were removed. The mill body was given a function as an electric pumping station with dwelling. The mill body now has a function as a dwelling and is situated on the Weespertrekvaart at the Harteveldsebrug in a meanwhile urbanised environment.

The mill body consists of a low masonry brick base with a wooden octagon above it.
