Omschrijving onderdeel 8: BOOTHUISJE.
Het BOOTHUISJE uit de bouwtijd van het hoofdhuis bevindt zich aan de westzijde van het buiten waar twee sloten samenkomen waarvan er één parallel ligt aan de Timmermanslaan (die 'Doornburgh' van de buitenplaats 'Goudestein' scheidt) en de sloot die evenwijdig aan de Vecht en het jaagpad is gelegen. Het huisje is in baksteen (kruisverband) boven de sloot opgetrokken en gefundeerd ter plaatse van de oevers. Het wordt gedekt door een zadeldak tussen een tuitgevel (noord) en een klokgevel (zuid), belegd met gesmoorde oud Hollandse pannen. In de eindgevels is in de top een zesruits modern raam opgenomen. Evenwijdig aan de schuine daklijnen komen alleen in de tuitgevel vlechtingen in het metselwerk voor. De gevellijnen van de klokgevel bestaan uit een uitgemetselde rollaag die op de hoeken eindigt in een voluut. De eindgevels worden het meest bepaald door een korfboog onder tweemaal terugspringende rollaag over bijna de gehele breedte van de gevel. De langsgevels worden door een overstekende houten goot beëindigd. In de westelijke langsgevel bevindt zich een laag modern deurtje.
Het boothuisje is eind 20ste eeuw gerestaureerd en verbouwd tot woning. Er zijn twee verdiepingsvloeren en vensters aangebracht en de waterdoorgang is afgesloten. Deze ingrepen zijn voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang.
Waardering
Het BOOTHUISJE behorende tot de historische buitenplaats 'Doornburgh' is van algemeen belang:

Description component 8: BOATHOUSE.
The BOATHOUSE from the building period of the main house is situated on the west side of the estate where two ditches meet, one of which runs parallel to the Timmermanslaan (which separates 'Doornburgh' from the country estate 'Goudestein') and the ditch that runs parallel to the Vecht and the towpath. The house is constructed in brick (Flemish bond) above the ditch and founded at the level of the banks. It is covered by a gabled roof between a spout gable (north) and a bell gable (south), tiled with smoked old Dutch tiles. In the end gables a six-pane modern window is incorporated in the top. Parallel to the sloping roof lines, lattice-work in the masonry is present only in the spout gable. The gable lines of the bell gable consist of an outlined roller-course that ends at the corners in a volute. The end gables are most characterised by a basket arch beneath a double-stepped roller-course spanning nearly the entire width of the gable. The long gables are terminated by an overhanging wooden gutter. In the western long gable there is a low modern small door.
The boathouse was restored and converted into a dwelling at the end of the 20th century. Two floor levels and windows have been inserted and the water passage has been sealed. These interventions are of secondary importance for the protection.
