Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 3: (bij Straatweg 17; op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nr.3) TOEGANGSHEK. Bij de ingang van de buitenplaats staat een 17de-eeuws hekwerk op een dam met gebogen bakstenen keermuren en een hardstenen afdekplaat. Het hek bestaat uit vier hardstenen geblokte pijlers bekroond door een loden siervaas. Tussen de middelste twee pijlers, die iets groter zijn dan de buitenste twee, een dubbel spijlenhek met zijstukken en een smeedijzeren console-vormig steunstuk, deze laatste uit ca.1800. De middelste pijlers dragen de naam 'herte' 'veld'. Restauratie 1991.

Description
Description of component 3: (at Straatweg 17; indicated on the accompanying map with no.3) ENTRANCE GATE. At the entrance of the country estate stands a 17th-century gate structure on a dam with curved brick retaining walls and an ashlar coping. The gate consists of four ashlar rusticated pillars crowned by a lead ornamental vase. Between the middle two pillars, which are slightly larger than the outer two, a double bar gate with side pieces and a wrought-iron console-shaped support, the latter from c.1800. The middle pillars bear the name 'herte' 'veld'. Restoration 1991.
Valuation ENTRANCE GATE of general importance: - on account of the age; - on account of the rich design; - on account of the marking of the entrance to the country estate; - as a characteristic component of the country estate.
