Omschrijving onderdeel 7: SMEEDIJZEREN TUINHEK MET BAKSTENEN PIJLERS - TWEEDE HELFT VAN DE 18DE EEUW.
Als ingang van de heemtuin dient een smeedijzeren tuinhek met bekroning. Het hek is met verticale spijlen en gekrulde vormen uitgevoerd, de bekroning bestaat uit een ajour kuifvormig element, eveneens van smeedijzer. Aan beide zijden wordt het hek geschraagd door twee kloeke, gemetselde pijlers, beide afgezet met een natuurstenen dekplaat.

Het smeedijzeren tuinhek met bakstenen pijlers is van algemeen belang wegens:

Description component 7: WROUGHT-IRON GARDEN GATE WITH BRICK PIERS - SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY.
Serving as entrance to the native plant garden is a wrought-iron garden gate with a crown. The gate is executed with vertical spiles and curled forms, the crowning consists of an openwork crest-shaped element, also of wrought iron. On both sides the gate is braced by two sturdy, mortared piers, both finished with a natural stone cap.

The wrought-iron garden gate with brick piers is of general interest because of:
