Inleiding
DROOGSCHUUR voor het drogen van uienzaad, met de nok loodrecht op de Molenweg en gebouwd omstreeks 1920. Oorspronkelijk stonden in deze buurt vijf vergelijkbare schuren, hiervan zijn er tegenwoordig nog twee over. Door het openen van de gepotdekselde delen in de wanden kon de wind door de ruimte blazen om de zaden te drogen. De originele onderdelen zijn nog aanwezig, maar in de loop der tijd zijn enkele houten luiken vervangen door kleine ramen en is er een overkapping met schuurtje aan de linkerkant bijgebouwd.
Omschrijving
Een schuur op rechthoekige plattegrond met een puntgevel met makelaar aan de voor- en de achterkant. De houten schuur heeft een zadeldak met rode Hollandse pannen. In de voor- en achtergevel dubbele deuren. De wanden bestaan uit reeksen geteerde, langgerekte luiken. Deze kunnen naar boven toe opengeklapt worden en met de authentieke ijzers vastgezet worden om lucht naar binnen te laten komen voor het drogen van de zaden. In de puntgevel aan voor- en achterkant een houten voorschot van latten. In de in het midden van de schuur en in de staanders in de wanden aan de binnenkant zijn groeven gemaakt om ribben op te leggen. Op deze ribben werden de planken voor het drogen van de zaden gelegd. In de schuur ligt een authentieke bakstenen vloer.
