Omschrijving onderdeel 2: KOETSHUIS.
Inleiding
Voormalig koetshuis, oorspronkelijk behorend bij het landgoed genaamd "De Kleine Ruwenberg" waartoe ook het tegenovergelegen landhuis behoorde. Het koetshuis is opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant en ligt in een parkachtig landschap met aan het begin van de oprijlaan een gietijzeren spijlenhekwerk tussen veelhoekige posten met de naam "Ruwenberg". Het voormalige koetshuis, oorspronkelijk ingedeeld in woning, paardenstal en koetsstalling, dateert blijkens een gevelsteen uit 1822. Op het terrein enkele kleinschalige elementen die deel uitmaakten van het voormalige landgoed als een tweetal monumentale duivenverbljven en een slangenmuur die later deel is gaan uitmaken van een pannendrogerij.
Omschrijving
Rechthoekig, boven een zwart geteerde plint geheel witgepleisterd eenlaags voormalig koetshuis met bedrijfsgedeelte onder zadeldak met rode Hollandse pannen. Het pand ligt met de nok evenwijdig aan de met linden beplante oprijlaan. Ter plaatse van het woongedeelte, vanaf de straat gezien uiterst rechts, een gemetselde schoorsteen op de nok. Uiterst links bevindt zich de koetsstalling. Tussen woning en koetsstalling bevond zich oorspronkelijk de paardenstal, die bij een grote verbouwing circa 1955 bij de woning getrokken is. De lange naar de straat gekeerde zijde vertoont van links naar rechts een grote dubbele wagendeur, een zesdelig draairaam in oud geprofileerd kozijn, twee oorspronkelijke, grote zesruits schuiframen waartussen een rond 1955 aangebrachte deur met grote glasruit in bovenste helft. Rechts een in diezelfde tijd ter plaatse van een oorspronkelijk venster aangebracht zevenruits venster, bestaande uit openslaande ramen met dwarsroeden onder drieruits bovenlicht. Omdat het huidige venster lager zit, moest de oorspronkelijke muuropening aan de bovenzijde dichtgezet worden. Het venster is voorzien van dubbele opgeklampte luiken. Alle vensters hebben bakstenen onderdorpels. Uiterst rechts ter plaatse van de oorspronkelijke, nu geheel dichtgezette voordeur van de woning bevindt zich een hardstenen sluitsteen met inscriptie: P.L BERAIL 18 5/13 22
De zijgevel heeft zes zeer lange staafankers. De zinken mastgoot rust op kleine ijzeren steuntjes. De gevel vertoont tal van bouwsporen waardoor de bouwgeschiedenis afleesbaar is gebleven. De korte gevel rechts, die naar het begin van de oprijlaan gericht is, is streng symmetrisch van opzet. Hij gaat in zijn huidige situatie vrijwel geheel terug op een verbouwing rond 1955. Centraal op de begane grond bevindt zich sindsdien hier de voordeur van de woning met ribbelprofiel, op ooghoogte een klein luikje met glas, boven de deur een laag tweedelig bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden een zesruits venster, bestaande uit openslaande ramen met dwarsroede onder tweedelig bovenlicht. De vensters hebben bakstenen onderdorpels en dubbele luiken. Op de zolderverdieping twee vensters met openslaande ramen met dwarsroede onder segmentboog. Bakstenen onderdorpels. Op vlieringniveau onder de nok een klein rond venster met kruisroeden. De gevel vertoont tussen begane grond en verdieping uiterst rechts een klein staafanker. Het spitse dak heeft eenvoudige windveren. De korte gevel links heeft op de begane grond twee symmetrisch geplaatste zesruits vensters met bakstenen onderdorpels. Kleine staafankers. Windveren. De lange achtergevel vertoont geheel rechts de bouwsporen van een inrijpoort, corresponderend met die in de voorgevel. Ter plaatse van de voormalige paardenstal een rond 1955 aangebracht venster met openslaande ramen met dwarsroeden. In het oorspronkelijk woongedeelte uiterst links een klein wc-raam, waarnaast een hooggeplaatst, gewijzigd negenruits schuifraam. Alle vensters hebben bakstenen onderdorpels. Zeer lange staafankers.
Inwendig is de oorspronkelijke indeling nog afleesbaar. Een stenen tussenmuur met schoorsteen scheidt de oude woning van de paardenstal. Eiken moerbalken, eenmaal met schoor op kraagsteentje, overspannen de ruimte. Opgelegde kinderbalken. Ravelingen. Onder het woongedeelte twee kleine kelders met troggewelfjes, een op houten en een op ijzeren liggers. De kelders zijn circa 1955 uitgediept en nu toegankelijk via vier stenen treden en een houten trapje.
Waardering
Het voormalige KOETSHUIS bij het landhuis genaamd De Kleine Ruwenberg is van algemeen belang. Het huis heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, als voorbeeld van een koetshuis met annexen op een landgoed in een parkachtig landschap. Het pand heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de in- en uitwendig behouden hoofdstructuur en het traditionele materiaalgebruik alsmede vanwege onderdelen van het interieur. Het heeft bouwhistorische betekenis vanwege de afleesbaarheid van bouwsporen. Het koetshuis heeft samen met de overige complexonderdelen grote ensemblewaarde.

Rectangular, above a black tarred plinth entirely whitewashed single-storey former coach house with business section under a gabled roof with red Dutch tiles. The building lies with the roof ridge parallel to the drive lined with lime trees. At the dwelling section, viewed from the street furthest to the right, a brick chimney on the ridge. Furthest to the left is the coach storage. Between the dwelling and coach storage was originally the horse stable, which was incorporated into the dwelling during a major renovation around 1955. The long side facing the street shows from left to right a large double carriage door, a six-part hinged window in old profiled frame, two original large six-light sash windows between which a door with large glass pane in upper half added around 1955. On the attic storey two windows with casement windows with cross glazing bar under segmental arch. Brick sills. At loft level under the ridge a small round window with cross glazing bars. The gable shows between ground floor and storey furthest to the right a small wall anchor. The pitched roof has simple wind braces. The short gable on the left has on the ground floor two symmetrically placed six-light windows with brick sills. Small wall anchors. Wind braces. The long rear gable shows on the far right the building traces of a cart entrance, corresponding to that in the front gable. At the location of the former horse stable a window installed around 1955 with casement windows with cross glazing bars. In the original dwelling section furthest to the left a small toilet window, beside which a high-placed, altered nine-light sash window. All windows have brick sills. Very long wall anchors.
Internally the original layout remains legible. A brick partition wall with chimney separates the old dwelling from the horse stable. Oak collar beams, once with a brace on a small corbel, span the space. Applied smaller beams. Tie-beams. Below the dwelling section two small cellars with barrel vaults, one on wooden and one on iron beams. The cellars were deepened around 1955 and are now accessible via four stone steps and a wooden staircase.
Valuation
The former COACH HOUSE at the country house called De Kleine Ruwenberg is of general importance. The house has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a socio-economic development, as an example of a coach house with annexes on an estate in a parkland landscape. The building has architectural-historical value because of the internally and externally retained main structure and traditional material use as well as because of components of the interior. It has building-historical significance because of the legibility of building traces. The coach house has, together with the other complex components, great ensemble value.
