Omschrijving onderdeel 57: (hoek Twickelerlaan/Bornsestraat te Ambt Delden)
MOESTUINMUUR behorende tot de buitenplaats Twickel. Ten noorden de Bornsestraat een geheel ommuurde rechthoekige moestuin uit 1888-1889 aangelegd naar ontwerp van (tuin)architect C.E.A. Petzold. De muur is van baksteen met ezelsrug en wordt door pijlers geleed. De pijlers dragen vazen (recent teruggebracht); tussen twee pijlers de hoofdingang met een (nieuw) hek met smeedijzeren decoraties. De moestuin is sinds 1977 opgeheven, maar vanaf de restauratie (1992) weer in functie; de muur wordt vanaf 1992 in fases gerestaureerd. Langs de buitenkant van de moestuinmuur (noord- en westzijde) een dichte beplantingsstrook. De tegen de westkant van de moestuinmuur aangebouwde opslagschuur, die in ca. 1970 verbouwd is tot woning, is voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang.

Description of component 57: (corner Twickelerlaan/Bornsestraat in Ambt Delden)
KITCHEN GARDEN WALL belonging to the country estate Twickel. To the north of the Bornsestraat a completely walled rectangular kitchen garden laid out in 1888-1889 after a design by (garden) architect C.E.A. Petzold. The wall is of brickwork with a coping and is articulated by pilasters. The pilasters carry urns (recently restored); between two pilasters the main entrance with a (new) gate with wrought-iron decoration. The kitchen garden has been out of use since 1977, but since restoration (1992) has been in operation again; the wall has been restored in phases since 1992. Along the outer side of the kitchen garden wall (north and west sides) a dense planting strip. The storage shed built against the west side of the kitchen garden wall, which was converted into a dwelling around 1970, is of secondary importance for the protection.
