Omschrijving onderdeel 3: WAPENLEEUWEN OP VOORBURCHT.
Twee voor de dam naar de poortdoorgang van de hoofdburcht gesitueerde sokkels met wapenleeuwen. De in rijke Westfaalse ornamentele stijl opgetrokken rechthoekige sokkels zijn vermoedelijk omstreeks 1701 vervaardigd en op deze plaats opgesteld, gezien de stilistische overeenkomst met het in deze stijl en in dit jaar uitgevoerde bordes met ingangspartij van de hoofdwoonvleugel op de hoofdburcht.

Description
Description component 3: HERALDIC LIONS ON OUTER FORTIFICATION.
Two heraldic lions on plinths situated in front of the dam towards the gateway passage of the main fortification. The rectangular plinths executed in rich Westphalian ornamental style were presumably made around 1701 and set up in this place, given the stylistic correspondence with the dais with entrance arrangement of the main residential wing on the main fortification executed in this style and in this year.
