Omschrijving onderdeel 2: vrijstaande schuur.
Inleiding
Vrijstaande SCHUUR, opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant en daterend uit XVIIB-XVIII. De schuur behoort bij een kortgevelboerderij en is gesitueerd aan een kruising van zandwegen in de afgelegen buurtschap Achterste Brug. Restauratie circa 1990.
Omschrijving
De schuur met dwarsdeel, boven een gepleisterde en geteerde plint opgetrokken uit handvormbaksteen in kruisverband, ligt onmiddellijk aan de weg, met de nok evenwijdig. Het schilddak is gedekt met rode en gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. In het midden van de lange, aan de weg gelegen zijde een grote dubbele deeldeur waarvoor het dak golvend is opgelicht. Rechts beneden deels in de plint een hardstenen peilsteen met de tekst: "32 Mr P.V. 40 cMr boven AP".
Waardering
De vrijstaande schuur uit XVIIB-XVIII is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een vrijstaande schuur behorend bij een kortgevelboerderij. De schuur heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de in- en uitwendig gaaf behouden hoofdstructuur en het traditionele materiaalgebruik alsmede vanwege onderdelen van het interieur. De schuur heeft samen met de bijbehorende kortgevelboerderij ensemblewaarde in de landelijke context van de buurtschap Achterste Brug en is straatbeeldbepalend.

Introduction
Detached BARN, erected in traditional artisanal building style and dating from the second half of the 17th century to the 18th century. The barn belongs to a short-gable farmhouse and is situated at a crossing of sand roads in the remote hamlet of Achterste Brug. Restoration circa 1990.
Description
The barn with transverse section, erected above a rendered and tarred plinth from handmoulded brick in cross bond, lies immediately beside the road, with the ridge parallel to it. The hipped roof is covered with red and dulled Dutch tiles. In the middle of the long side facing the road a large double divided door in front of which the roof is curved upwards. To the right below, partly in the plinth, a sandstone water-level marker with the text: "32 Mr P.V. 40 cMr above AP".
Valuation
The detached barn from the second half of the 17th century to the 18th century is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of a detached barn belonging to a short-gable farmhouse. The barn has architectural-historical value due to its soundly preserved main structure inside and out and traditional use of materials, as well as due to components of the interior. The barn, together with the associated short-gable farmhouse, has ensemble value in the rural context of the hamlet of Achterste Brug and is character-defining for the streetscape.
