HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Mensinge. Deels in structuur en deels in detail gaaf bewaard havezate terrein waarvan de kern gevormd wordt door het, binnen een rechthoekige grachtengordel en een formeel lanenstelsel, gelegen huis. De utilitaire inrichting van het terrein dateert waarschijnlijk uit de vijftiende eeuw (of daarvoor). Een rechte toegangslaan met linden staat op de as van het huis; noordelijk van het huis ligt een grotendeels omgrachte moestuin annex boomgaard (thans weiland, enkele fruitbomen) en zuidelijk een weiland (toponiem 'de Duivenkamp'), dat zijn naam ontleent aan de daar gelegen achttiende-eeuwse duiventil. In dit weiland een solitaire linde. Westelijk van het huis liggen eveneens weilanden. Het karakter van de aanleg wordt bepaald door kenmerkende lanen (eiken/beuken), die de huisplaats en de weilanden omsluiten.

Description
HISTORICAL GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Mensinge. Havezate terrain partly preserved in structure and partly in detail, the core of which is formed by the house situated within a rectangular moat girdle and a formal lane system. The utilitarian development of the terrain probably dates from the fifteenth century (or earlier). A straight approach avenue with linden trees stands on the axis of the house; north of the house lies a largely moated vegetable garden adjoining an orchard (now pasture, some fruit trees) and to the south a meadow (toponym 'de Duivenkamp'), which takes its name from the eighteenth-century dovecote located there. In this meadow a solitary linden tree. West of the house likewise lie meadows. The character of the layout is determined by characteristic lanes (oak/beech) which enclose the house site and the meadows.
