Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 7: IJSKELDER.
Aan de zuidzijde van het perceel tussen 1802 en 1813 gebouwde ijskelder. De kelder is in de aanleg herkenbaar als begroeide heuvel. De toegang bevindt zich aan de noordzijde en vertoont zich als een (vernieuwde) deur tussen twee zeer zwaar uitgevoerde gemetselde keermuren. De kelder is cirkelvormig en gedekt met een gewelf. Vanaf de door vleugelmuren begeleide toegang leidt een korte gebogen gang naar het inwendige (quadrantportaal).
De ijskelder is thans in verblijf als vleermuizenslaapplaats.

De IJSKELDER, behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Schaepenburgh is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:
- wegens de ouderdom;
- wegens de markante ligging;
- wegens zijn functionele betekenis voor de buitenplaats;
- als inmiddels relatief zeldzaam voorbeeld van een gebouwtype dat de historische koeltechniek representeert.

Description
Description component 7: ICE HOUSE.
Ice house built between 1802 and 1813 on the south side of the plot. The cellar is recognisable in the layout as a vegetated mound. The entrance is on the north side and presents itself as a (renewed) door between two very heavily executed masonry retaining walls. The cellar is circular and covered with a vault. From the entrance flanked by wing walls a short curved passage leads to the interior (quadrant portal).
The ice house is now in use as a bat roost.
Valuation
The ICE HOUSE, belonging to the historic country estate Schaepenburgh, is of general cultural historical importance:

- because of its functional significance for the country estate;
