Inleiding
Halfvrijstaand dubbel WOONHUIS onder schilddak, opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant, daterend uit XVIII-XIXA. Het pand staat in de verstedelijkte dorpskern van Oirschot en ligt met de nok evenwijdig aan de straat. Het pand markeert een fase in de geschiedenis van het wonen, omdat het niet meer verbonden is met een bedrijfsgedeelte, uit twee bouwlagen bestaat en als dubbel woonhuis is uitgevoerd. Daarmee is het tevens een uitdrukking van het verstedelijkingsproces van de Oirschotse dorpskern.
Omschrijving
Het tweelaagse dorpswoonhuis heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het heeft een geheel gepleisterde voorgevel en een uit paarsbruine handgevormde baksteen in kruisverband opgetrokken linker zijgevel. De rechter zijgevel is grotendeels aan het oog onttrokken, doordat deze grenst aan het buurpand. De achtergevel gaat schuil achter een eenlaagse aanbouw onder laag afhangend lessenaarsdak over de gehele lengte. Haaks daarop een nieuwe vleugel. Het hoge schilddak is gedekt met rode en gesmoorde Hollandse dakpannen met dito vorstpannen op nok en hoekkepers. Rechts op de nok een gemetselde schoorsteen. De voorgevel heeft rechts uit het midden een gemetselde stoep met voordeur met tweeruits bovenlicht en geprofileerde bovenkalf. Aan weerszijden twee vensters met zesruits schuiframen en dubbele luiken. Lekdorpels. Hierboven op de verdieping drie kleine vensters met kruisroedenramen en dubbele opgeklampte luiken. Onregelmatig geplaatste staafankers van ongelijke lengte. Het pand is in XIXA naar links met twee traveeën uitgebreid. In deze uitbreiding een gemetselde stoep en voordeur met iets hoger bovenlicht en geprofileerd bovenkalf. Links een even hoog venster met zesruits schuifraam en dubbele luiken met sluitstang. Lekdorpel. Op de verdieping een venster met kruisroedenraam. Het geheel is gevat onder een eenvoudige smalle houten kroonlijst met geprofileerde bakgoot. De linker zijgevel is geheel blind. Staafankers. De achtergevel is geheel vernieuwd.
De kozijnen zijn beige, de ramen wit en de deur en luiken standgroen geschilderd.
Inwendig is de oorspronkelijke indeling grotendeels bewaard gebleven.
Waardering
Het dorpswoonhuis uit XVIII-XIXA is van algemeen belang. Het pand heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een tweelaags dubbel dorpswoonhuis dat door zijn aard en verschijningsvorm het verstedelijkingsproces van de Oirschotse dorpskern documenteert. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de in- en uitwendig gaaf bewaardgebleven hoofdstructuur en onderdelen van het interieur, de harmonische verhoudingen en ambachtelijk toegepaste traditionele bouwmaterialen. Semi-detached double DWELLING HOUSE under hipped roof, constructed in craft-traditional building style, dating from the 18th to first half of the 19th century. The building stands in the urbanised village centre of Oirschot and lies with the ridge parallel to the street. The building marks a phase in the history of dwelling, because it is no longer connected to a business section, consists of two storeys and is executed as a double dwelling house. It is thereby also an expression of the urbanisation process of the Oirschot village centre.
Description
The two-storey village dwelling house has a rectangular ground plan. It has a completely plastered façade and a left side gable constructed from dark brown hand-formed bricks in English bond. The right side gable is largely hidden from view, as it borders the neighbouring building. The rear gable is concealed behind a single-storey extension under low sloping catslide roof over the entire length. Perpendicular to it a new wing. The high hipped roof is covered with red and smoored Dutch roof tiles with matching corner tiles on the ridge and hip tiles. On the right of the ridge a brick chimney. The façade has on the right out of the centre a brick stoep with front door with two-pane fanlight and moulded upper transom. On either side two windows with six-pane sash windows and double shutters. Drip mouldings. Above this on the floor three small windows with glazing bar frames and double clamped shutters. Irregularly placed rod anchors of unequal length. The building was extended to the left in the first half of the 19th century with two bays. In this extension a brick stoep and front door with slightly higher fanlight and moulded upper transom. On the left an equally high window with six-pane sash window and double shutters with closing bar. Drip moulding. On the floor a window with glazing bar frame. The whole is set under a simple narrow wooden cornice with moulded gutter. The left side gable is completely blank. Rod anchors. The rear gable is completely renewed.
The frames are beige, the panes white and the door and shutters painted standard green.
Internally the original layout has largely been preserved.
Valuation
The village dwelling house from the 18th to first half of the 19th century is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical value as an example of a two-storey double village dwelling house which by its nature and appearance documents the urbanisation process of the Oirschot village centre. It has architectural-historical value because of the internally and externally well-preserved main structure and components of the interior, the harmonious proportions and craft-applied traditional building materials.
