Omschrijving onderdeel 1: Hoofdgebouw.
HUIS De Horte, XVIIIc; eenvoudig bakstenen gebouw met twee bouwlagen bestaande uit twee achter elkaar liggende rechthoekige bouwlichamen, elk gedekt door een schilddak -evenwijdig aan elkaar- met hoekschoorstenen; grijze pannendekking; getuige de hardstenen gevelsteen in de achtergevel van het achterste, smallere bouwlichaam is dit gedeelte gebouwd in 1829 (G.J. van Fridagh - geb. Kantelaar 23 junij 1829); de symmetrische voorgevel (lijstgevel) telt vijf traveeën; ingang in het midden met twee lage, gebogen zandstenen treden; parterre met T-vensters, op de verdieping negenlichts- vensters; bakstenen dakkapel onder zadeldakje midden op het dakschild; plaveisel van ijsselsteentjes langs voorgevel. De achtergevel is vier ramen breed, boven 4-lichtvensters met blinden en beneden T-vensters en tuindeuren, de gevel is geel geverfd op pleisterwerk, dakkapel zelfde als aan voorzijde; rechts van de voorgevel een drie ramen brede aanbouw, waarin de keuken, uit 1892 van twee bouwlagen onder een schilddak met zeer flauwe helling met dakleer gedekt; parterreramen met luiken; achter deze aanbouw een schuur (XXc) van één bouwlaag onder zadeldak met grijze pannen. In het interieur is het souterrain verbouwd. Op de hoofdverdieping een centrale middengang met aan het eind een dwarsgang. Figuratief stucwerk met vazen en jachttrofeeën. Kamer rechtsvoor met stucplafond met florale motieven. Kamer linksachter ziet met twee ramen en een openslaande deur uit op de tuin. Plafond met decoratief stucwerk met ranken, bloemen en fruit. Schoorsteen met marmeren mantel en stucversiering op de boezem. Aan het eind van de dwarsgang in het linkergedeelte van het huis een betegelde WC. In de 19de-eeuwse aanbouw was de keuken en een afdeling voor het personeel ondergebracht. Grote schouw met schildpadtegels en een keukenkast resteren.

HUIS De Horte, second half of 18th century; simple brick building with two storeys consisting of two rectangular building blocks lying one behind the other, each covered by a hipped roof—parallel to each other—with corner chimneys; grey tile covering; as evidenced by the hard stone façade stone in the rear façade of the rear, narrower building block, this section was built in 1829 (G.J. van Fridagh - born Kantelaar 23 June 1829); the symmetrical front façade (cornice-topped facade) comprises five bays; entrance in the centre with two low, curved sandstone steps; ground floor with T-windows, on the first storey nine-light windows; brick roof dormer under small saddle roof in the centre of the hipped roof; paving of Yssel stone along front façade. The rear façade is four windows wide, above 4-light windows with blinds and below T-windows and garden doors, the façade is painted yellow on plasterwork, roof dormer same as on the front; to the right of the front façade a three-window-wide extension, containing the kitchen, from 1892 with two storeys under a hipped roof with very shallow pitch covered with roof felt; ground floor windows with shutters; behind this extension a shed (20th century) of one storey under a saddle roof with grey tiles. The interior has been altered in the basement. On the main floor a central hallway with a transverse corridor at the end. Figurative stuccowork with urns and hunting trophies. Front room on the right with stucco ceiling with floral motifs. Room on the left rear with two windows and a glazed door looking out onto the garden. Ceiling with decorative stuccowork with scrolls, flowers and fruit. Fireplace with marble surround and stucco decoration on the breast. At the end of the transverse corridor on the left side of the house a tiled WC. In the 19th-century extension were housed the kitchen and an area for staff. Large fireplace with tortoiseshell tiles and a kitchen cupboard remain.
