Inleiding
Voetgangersbrug uit het begin van de negentiende eeuw, gelegen in een voormalig vervenersdorp. In 2002 is het brugdek vernieuwd.
Omschrijving
Geheel in staal uitgevoerde draaibrug met tuiwerk op een excentrische draaispil. De brug heeft een houten dek, sobere leuningen en eenvoudige koningsstijlen verbonden door een boogje.
Waardering
De voetgangersbrug is van algemeen architectuurhistorisch en cultuurhistorisch belang:
- als een van de weinige overgebleven bruggen van dit type;
- als een voorbeeld van en herinnering aan de vele soortgelijke bruggen die de voormalige veenkoloniën karakteriseerden;
- vanwege de bijzondere uitstraling door de ijle constructie.

Completely steel-constructed swing bridge with stay cables on an eccentric pivot. The bridge has a wooden deck, plain railings and simple king-posts connected by an arch.

The footbridge is of general architectural-historical and cultural-historical importance:
