Inleiding.
Het WOONHUIS uit circa 1880 in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl is direkt aan de straat gelegen en staat los van de iets naar achter gelegen werkplaats. De aanbouwen aan de achterzijde dateren van omstreeks 1900 en de jaren '30.
Omschrijving.
Het woonhuis op L-vormige plattegrond bestaat uit een voorhuis dat parallel aan de weg is gelegen en twee aanbouwen uit later tijd aan de achterzijde. Het voorhuis is een eenlaags bouwwerk op rechthoekig grondplan onder zadeldak, opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen in kruisverband. De voorgevel kent een gestuukte plint. Het dak is gedekt met verbeterde Hollandse pannen zonder dakgoot. De tuitvormige zijgevels zijn voorzien van vlechtingen. De schoorsteen steekt links van het midden uit de nok van het dak. De voorgevel telt drie rechtgesloten vensters, voorzien van zesruits schuiframen. Rechts van het midden is een rechtgesloten deur onder tweeruits bovenlicht aangebracht. In de linker zijgevel is eenzelfde raam als in de voorgevel aangebracht. De rechterzijgevel is evenwel voorzien van een halfvenster en een vierruitsraam. Alle schuiframen op de benedenverdieping zijn voorzien van houten luiken. In de bovenverdiepingen van de zijgevels bevinden zich T-vormige schuiframen onder tweeruits bovenlicht in een rechtgesloten venster. Aan de achterzijde is in later tijd een dakkapel geplaatst. In de zijgevels zijn muurankers zichtbaar. Aan de linker achterzijde van het voorhuis en dwars daarop is in later tijd een gedeelte aangebouwd. Dit eenlaags bouwwerk onder schilddak is opgetrokken uit baksteen in halfsteensverband. De drie dakschilden zijn bedekt met tuiles-du-nordpannen. De linker langsgevel kent een rechtgesloten venster met daarin een raam met roedenverdeling en houten luiken. De rechter langsgevel is voorzien van een tweetal deuren. De achtergeveul heeft een klein vierkant laadluik op de verdieping. Een tweede aanbouw ligt in de oksel van beide voornoemde gedeelten, aan de achterzijde. Deze eenlaags aanbouw onder plat dak met overstek is één travee breed en drie lang. Aan de achterzijde heeft de gevel één enkel en één dubbel rechtgesloten venster zesruits schuifraam. Alle zijn van houten luiken voorzien. In de rechter travee is een deur onder tweeruits bovenlicht. Op de begane grond is de indeling van het interieur ongewijzigd. De voordeur geeft direkt toegang tot de woonkamer. Op de bovenverdieping is de indeling wel gewijzigd. Er bevinden zich geen beschermenswaardige onderdelen in het interieur.
Waardering.
Het object is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van het eenvoudige dorpshuis met werkplaats in de Meijerij, het is tevens van belang in relatie tot het zeldzame en ter plaatse behouden wegprofiel en herinnert daarmee aan de eertijds aanwezige situatie. Het heeft ensemblewaarde door de samenhang met de bijbehorende timmerwerkplaats. Het object is ondanks de aanbouwen voldoende gaaf behouden. Het is zeldzaam als een van de weinig overgebleven voorbeelden van een eertijds gangbaar type.

The DWELLING HOUSE dating from circa 1880 in Craft-Traditional style is situated directly on the street and stands separately from the workshop situated somewhat further back. The extensions on the rear side date from around 1900 and the 1930s.

The dwelling house on an L-shaped ground plan consists of a front section situated parallel to the road and two extensions of later date on the rear side. The front section is a single-storey building on a rectangular ground plan under a gabled roof, constructed from machine-made brick in cross bond. The front facade has a rendered plinth. The roof is covered with improved Dutch tiles without a gutter. The spout gable side facades are provided with plaiting. The chimney projects from the ridge of the roof to the left of centre. The front facade has three flush-to-wall windows, fitted with six-pane sash windows. To the right of centre a flush-to-wall door is installed under a two-pane fanlight. In the left side facade an identical window to that in the front facade is installed. The right side facade, however, is provided with a half-window and a four-pane window. All sash windows on the ground floor are provided with wooden shutters. On the upper storeys of the side facades there are T-shaped sash windows under a two-pane fanlight in a flush-to-wall window. A roof dormer has been added to the rear at a later date. Ornamental wall anchors are visible in the side facades. At the rear left side of the front section and transversely thereto, an extension has been added at a later date. This single-storey building under a hipped roof is constructed from brick in half-brick bond. The three roof planes are covered with Tuiles du Nord tiles. The left long facade has a flush-to-wall window containing a window with glazing bars and wooden shutters. The right long facade is provided with two doors. The rear facade has a small square loading hatch on the storey. A second extension is situated in the angle of both aforementioned sections, on the rear side. This single-storey extension under a flat roof with overhang is one bay wide and three bays long. The rear facade has one single and one double flush-to-wall window with six-pane sash windows. All are fitted with wooden shutters. In the right bay a door is installed under a two-pane fanlight. On the ground floor the layout of the interior is unchanged. The front door provides direct access to the living room. On the upper storey the layout has been altered. There are no components worthy of protection in the interior.
Valuation.
The object is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of the simple village house with workshop in the Meijerij, and is also of importance in relation to the rare and locally preserved road profile, and thus recalls the situation that existed formerly. It has ensemble value through its connection with the associated carpentry workshop. Despite the extensions, the object has been sufficiently well preserved. It is remarkable as one of the few remaining examples of a type that was formerly common.
