Inleiding.
De SCHUUR is zeer waarschijnlijk in ongeveer het midden van de negentiende eeuw gerealiseerd in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl.
Omschrijving.
Het is een langsdeelschuur van het Vlaamse type op een nagenoeg vierkante plattegrond onder een wolfsdak gedekt met riet. De aanzet van het wolfsdak is aan de voorzijde van de schuur beduidend hoger dan aan de achterzijde. De voorgevel is voorzien van drie poorten onder segmentbogen met houten openslaande deuren. De linkerpoort is de grootste van de drie, de rechter twee poorten zijn van gelijke grootte. In de uiterst linkerhoek van de voorgevel bevindt zich nog een smalle deur, eveneens met een segmentboog. In de voorgevel bevinden zich, evenals in de achtergevel, verscheidene eenvoudige muurankers. De rechterzijgevel is vermoedelijk in de jaren vijftig opnieuw opgetrokken in een lichter soort steen, mogelijk kalkzandsteen. Hierin bevinden zich een smalle houten deur met segmentboog en een tweetal kleine, vierkante vensters zonder ramen en afsluitbaar door middel van een houten luik. De linkerzijgevel is voorzien van een viertal deuren en kleine vierkante vensters, die om en om zijn geplaatst. In de achtergevel bevindt zich eveneens een tweetal poorten met houten deur. Direct links van de grote poort in de voorgevel bevindt zich onder een afdekking een oude wel/waterput. Vanwege de bedrijfslogistiek werd deze in de jaren tachtig afgedekt. Het interieur van de schuur is in hoofdlijnen bewaard gebleven. Het gebint is grotendeels intact en de indeling is hier en daar gewijzigd en aangepast aan de moderne eisen.
Waardering.
Het object is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van sociaal-economische ontwikkelingen van Heijningen en het gebruik van het aangrenzende poldergebied. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de typologische waarde en de bouwhistorische waarde welke is gelegen in de duidelijke illustratie van de ontwikkelingsgeschiedenis van het gebouw en het complex. Het heeft ensemblewaarde wegens de situering aan de binnendijkse zijde van de dijk waarop tevens een doorgaande weg is gelegen en aan de rand van open landbouwgronden.

The BARN was very probably realised around the middle of the nineteenth century in Craft-Traditional style.
Description.
It is a longitudinal-section barn of the Flemish type on an approximately square ground plan under a half-hipped roof covered with thatch. The springing of the half-hipped roof is considerably higher at the front of the barn than at the rear. The front façade is provided with three gates under segmental arches with wooden hinged doors. The left gate is the largest of the three, the right two gates are of equal size. In the far left corner of the front façade there is still a narrow door, also with a segmental arch. In the front façade, as in the rear façade, there are several simple wall anchors. The right side wall was presumably reconstructed in the nineteen-fifties in a lighter type of stone, possibly calcium silicate brick. This contains a narrow wooden door with segmental arch and two small, square windows without frames and closable by means of a wooden shutter. The left side wall is provided with four doors and small square windows, which are placed alternately. In the rear wall there are also two gates with wooden doors. Directly to the left of the large gate in the front façade there is an old well/water pump under a covering. Because of business logistics this was covered over in the nineteen-eighties. The interior of the barn has been largely preserved. The timber framing is largely intact and the layout has been modified and adapted in places to modern requirements.
Valuation.
The object is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of the socio-economic developments of Heijningen and the use of the adjacent polder area. It has architectural-historical value because of its typological value and construction-historical value which lies in the clear illustration of the development history of the building and the complex. It has ensemble value because of its situation on the inland side of the dyke on which there is also a through road and at the edge of open agricultural land.
