Inleiding.
Het BAKHUIS is gebouwd in het derde kwart van de negentiende eeuw. Rond 1960-1970 zijn er enkele ramen extra ingezet. Dit bakhuis bevindt zich haaks achter de langgevelboerderij, ter rechterzijde.
Omschrijving.
Het eenlaagse gebouwtje heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en is opgetrokken uit handvorm baksteen met rechte muurankers. Op het zadeldak van het huisje liggen zwarte muldenpannen, het aangebouwde vierkante ovengedeelte heeft een zadeldak met rode muldenpannen. De deur en een klein venster zijn in de lange linkerzijgevel geplaatst. De korte gevel die naar de boerderij isgekeerd is blind en bevat de ovenaanbouw. Ook de rechterzijgevel is blind. De achtergevel bezit twee lage deurtjes en een breed tweelichtsvenster. In de topgevel bevindt zich een vierkante muuropening. Het inwendige bevatonderdelen die herinneren aan het doel van het bakhuis, zoals een schouw met geprofileerde houten lijst.
Waardering.
Het bakhuis is van algemeen belang. Het gebouwtje heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een landschappelijke ontwikkeling, met name de stichting van keuterijen in Noord-Brabant. The BAKEHOUSE was built in the third quarter of the nineteenth century. Around 1960-1970 several windows were added. This bakehouse is situated at right angles behind the long-gabled farmhouse, on the right side.
Description.
The single-storey building has a rectangular floor plan and is constructed of handmade brick with straight wall anchors. The gabled roof of the building is covered with black mule tiles, the adjoining square oven section has a gabled roof with red mule tiles. The door and a small window are placed in the long left-hand gable wall. The short gable facing the farmhouse is blind and contains the oven extension. The right-hand gable wall is also blind. The rear gable has two low doors and a broad two-light window. In the gable pediment there is a square wall opening. The interior contains elements which recall the purpose of the bakehouse, such as a chimney with profiled wooden moulding.
Valuation.
The bakehouse is of general interest. The building has cultural-historical significance as an expression of a landscape development, namely the establishment of smallholdings in North Brabant. It has ensemble value, given the historic-spatial relationship with landscaping, roads, waterways and soil conditions. The complex is important because of the integrity of the exterior and interior and in relation to the structural and visual integrity of the landscape setting. As a whole it is of significance because of the typological rarity of such a small complex.
