Inleiding
Te Mill staat ten noorden van kazemat 33, daar waar het Defensiekanaal en de Raam samenstromen en gekruisd worden door de Kammerbergweg, de B-kazemat (270a) 32, daterende uit 1939-1940. De wal is ter plaatse geamoveerd.
Omschrijving.
De betonkazemat staat aan de zuidelijke zijde van het kanaal en deed dienst als flankerende betonkazemat, die in noordwestelijke richting het stellingdeel aan de Raam, waarvan het dal door inundaties was verbreed, onder vuur kon nemen. De kazemat is gaaf bewaard gebleven.
Waardering.
De kazemat is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de versterking en daaropvolgende verdediging van Nederland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is als zodanig een belangrijk document van de militaire geschiedenis. Het is van architectuur- en bouwhistorisch belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de toepassing van moderne materialen en technieken, met name in de verwerking van gewapend beton.
