Inleiding.
Ten noordoosten van kazemat 533 staat, aan de andere zijde van de spoorbrug, op de noordelijke kade van het Defensiekanaal de S (3a) KAZEMAT 534, daterende uit 1939-1940. De wal is ter plaatse afgegraven.
Omschrijving.
De kazemat staat op een honderdtal meters ten noorden van de aspergeversperring op het spoor en kan door het rechter schietgat flankerend vuur op deze brug afgeven. Tevens kan de S-kazemat frontaal en flankerend vuur geven op het voorterrein met de spoordijk. De kazemat is gaaf bewaard gebleven en vertoont vele gevechtssporen: de gehele frontzijde is bestookt met granaten, waardoor de wapening deels zichtbaar is geworden. Daarnaast zijn twee van de drie schietgaten met pantserafweergeschut doorboord.
Waardering.
De kazemat is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en geografische ontwikkeling, namelijk de versterking en daaropvolgende verdediging van Nederland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog en is als zodanig een belangrijk document van de militaire geschiedenis. Het is van architectuur- en bouwhistorisch belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik en de toepassing van moderne materialen en technieken, met name in de verwerking van gewapend beton. Het heeft ensemblewaarden als essentieel onderdeel van een groter geheel, dat cultuurhistorisch van belang is en is van belangwegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid. To the north-east of casemate 533, on the other side of the railway bridge, on the northern quay of the Defensiekanaal, stands the S (3a) CASEMATE 534, dating from 1939-1940. The embankment is excavated at this location.

The casemate stands about one hundred metres to the north of the anti-tank obstacle barrier on the track and can provide flanking fire on this bridge through the right gun port. The S-casemate can also provide frontal and flanking fire on the foreground with the railway embankment. The casemate has been well preserved and shows many signs of combat: the entire front side has been bombarded with grenades, as a result of which the reinforcement has become partially visible. In addition, two of the three gun ports have been pierced by anti-tank guns.
