Inleiding
Vaste BRUG uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw is gelegen over het zuidoostelijke deel van de voormalige kasteelgracht, die vanaf de Horstlaan (Voorlaan) naar het voorplein van het jachthuis ter Horst leidt. In de literatuur wordt melding gemaakt van een ophaalbrug, maar op een afbeelding uit ca. 1650 is reeds sprake van een gemetselde boogbrug, die echter in de loop der tijd diverse malen is vernieuwd.
N.B. de landhoofden en het brugdek zijn vernieuwd in de tweede helft van de 20ste eeuw.
Omschrijving
Vaste lichtgebogen brug met vernieuwd houten brugdek, rust op betonnen landhoofden. Aan weerseinden bevinden zich smeed/gietijzeren brugleuningen, die bestaan uit pijlers en liggers met decoratief gekrulde uiteinden.
Waardering
De brug is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur-, architectuur- en tuinhistorische waarde. Gesitueerd in de hoofdas tussen het jachthuis en de Horstlaan is deze 19de-eeuwse brug ruimtelijk en functioneel een typologisch belangrijk element in de tuinaanleg van de historische buitenplaats Ter Horst.

Introduction
A fixed BRIDGE from the second half of the 19th century is located over the southeastern part of the former castle moat, which leads from the Horstlaan (Voorlaan) to the forecourt of the hunting lodge ter Horst. Literature mentions a drawbridge, but an image from around 1650 already shows a masonry arch bridge, which however was renewed several times over the course of time.
N.B. the abutments and bridge deck were renewed in the second half of the 20th century.
Description
Fixed slightly arched bridge with renewed wooden bridge deck, resting on concrete abutments. At both ends are wrought/cast iron railings, which consist of pillars and girders with decoratively curved ends.
Valuation
The bridge is of general importance because of its cultural, architectural and garden-historical value. Situated in the main axis between the hunting lodge and the Horstlaan, this 19th-century bridge is spatially and functionally a typologically important element in the garden layout of the historic country estate Ter Horst.
