Inleiding
Rij van acht ARBEIDERSWONINGEN uit 1849 in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant. Het rijtje van acht woningen maakt onderdeel uit van de gevelwand van de Doelenstraat in het beschermde stadsgezicht van Delft.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken rij van acht arbeiderswoningen van één bouwlaag onder een gemeenschappelijk zadeldak. Het met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen gedekte dak wordt doorsneden door gemetselde schoorstenen en dakkappellen. De eenvoudige houten dakkapellen hebben met zink bekleedde wangen en een eenvoudige lijst. Rechte, doorlopende houten gootlijst en daklijst langs kopgevel. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in schoon metselwerk in IJsselsteen met een zwartgeschilderde plint. Elke woning heeft één deur en één raam in de voorgevel. De rechtgesloten vensters met rollaag bevatten houten, negenruits schuiframen met aan weerszijden houten luiken. De houten deuren met hardstenen onderdorpel en neuten hebben snijramen.
De kopgevels zijn blind.
Het interieur van de woningen bevatten de houten balkenlagen, vloeren en kapconstructie.

Row of eight workers' dwellings constructed on a rectangular plan of one storey under a common gabled roof. The roof covered with suppressed Dutch tiles is intersected by brickwork chimneys and roof dormers. The simple wooden roof dormers have zinc-clad cheeks and a simple moulding. Straight, continuous wooden drip moulding and roof moulding along the gable end. The facades are constructed in fair-faced brickwork in IJsselsteen with a black-painted plint. Each dwelling has one door and one window in the front facade. The sash windows with roll moulding contain wooden, nine-pane sash frames with wooden shutters on either side. The wooden doors with hard stone under-lintel and newels have glazed panes.
The gable ends are blind.
The interior of the dwellings contains the wooden beam layers, floors and roof truss structure.
