Inleiding
Vaste VOETGANGERSBRUG, genaamd Rapenbloembrug, uit 1891, vermoedelijk naar ontwerp van gemeentearchitect C.J. de Bruyn Kops.
De brug ligt over de Verwersgracht en verbindt de kaden van de Verwersdijk ter hoogte van de Visstraat en de Doelenstraat.
Omschrijving
De brug sluit aan op de kaden van de Verwersdijk door bakstenen bruggenhoofden met een trap. De brug heeft een totale overspanning van ong. 9m. met één doorvaartopening en een dekbreedte van 2,4m.
De onderbouw van de brug bestaat uit metselwerk met gietijzeren delen bij de opleggingen. De bovenbouw bestaat uit twee gebogen gewalste ijzeren hoofdliggers met I-profielen met betonnen brugdek met een dekking van IJsselstenen. De traptreden bestaan uit graniet. De gietijzeren borstwering heeft in totaal acht forse, achthoekige hoekpijlers. De vier pijlers op de brug worden voortgezet op de hoeken van het bruggenhoofd. de vier pijlers die dienst doen ter afsluiting van de trap zijn gefundeerd op het metselwerk van de trap. De ijzeren borstwering loopt aan weerszijden van de brug en de trappen. De doorlopende onderregel en bovenste handlijst van de balustrade worden verbonden door spijlen in doorlopend rondboogmotief, die afgewisseld worden door kleine tussenpijlers.

The superstructure consists of two curved rolled steel main beams with I-profiles with concrete bridge deck with a covering of Ijssel stones. The stair treads consist of granite. The cast-iron balustrade has in total eight sturdy, octagonal corner piers. The four piers on the bridge are continued at the corners of the bridge abutment. The four piers that serve to close off the staircase are founded on the masonry of the staircase. The iron balustrade runs on both sides of the bridge and the stairs.
