Inleiding
Bij de R.K.-kerk behorende PASTORIE gebouwd in 1891-1892 naar een ontwerp van A.C. Bleijs in de neoromaanse stijl. Kerk en pastorie zijn onderling verbonden door een L-vormig bouwlichaam met daarin opgenomen de sacristie.
Omschrijving
Op een samengestelde plattegrond, in grauw bakstenen kruisverband opgetrokken pastorie bestaande uit twee bouwlagen onder zadel- en schilddaken met leien in Maasdekking. In de kap drie dakkapellen met steekkapjes, de dakkapel aan de noordzijde zijn dubbel uitgevoerd. De eigenlijke pastorie is een rechthoekig bouwlichaam onder een schilddak met een dwarsdeel onder een zadeldak. Tussen de kerk en de pastorie bevindt zich een L-vormig bouwlichaam met in de oksel een kleine toren met een tentdak. In het metselwerk bloktandlijsten, rondboogfriezen op lisenen, ingemetselde rondbogen boven de vensters en smeedijzeren muurankers. De bloktandlijsten lopen door in het L-vormig bouwlichaam. Het eveneens omlopende trasraam is voorzien van een afzaat. Op de verdieping van de pastorie worden de vensters twee aan twee gekoppeld door de in een waterlijst overgaande lekdorpels. De pastorie heeft op het zuiden in het rechthoekig bouwlichaam op de begane grond twee schuifvensters met geknikt gepleisterde strekken. Op de verdieping drie rondboog schuifvensters, de rechter twee onder een rondboogfries. Alle ramen hebben persiennes. Het open, overhoekse ingangsportaal, onder het linker kozijn heeft natuurstenen hoeken en een hoekzuil met dobbelsteenkapiteel. In de gemetselde rondbogen natuurstenen sluitstenen. De hardstenen stoep leidt naar een houten vierruits paneeldeur. In het dwarsdeel dezelfde indeling maar met een gepleisterd rondboogfries als strek op de begane grond en in de top in plaats van op de verdieping een derde rondboogvenster zonder persiennes.
De oostelijke zijgevel heeft op de begane grond drie schuifvensters onder gepleisterde rondboogstrekken en op de verdieping drie rondboogramen als aan de zuidzijde. Ook op de verdieping bevindt zich een rondboog blind venster. De noordelijke gevel heeft in het dwarsdeel dezelfde indeling als het zuidelijke dwarsdeel en in het rechthoekig bouwlichaam net als in de zuidgevel twee rondboogvensters boven twee schuiframen met gepleisterde strekken. In het midden van de noordgevel bevindt zich de achterdeur met rechts daarvan een klein venster. Boven de deur een gekoppeld en getoogd kloosterkozijn met glas-in-lood onder een rond venster. Naast de pastorie een verbindingsgalerij naar de kerk met een wijde, getoogde boog, een getrapte, natuursteen afgedekte steunbeer en in de kap een dakkapel. In de galerij een deur en schuifvensters naar het L-vormige bouwlichaam met de sacristie.
Links van de zuidelijke pastoriegevel de L-vormige uitbouw met in de gevel meteen links drie rondboogramen. Om de hoek twee gekoppelde vensters onder ingemetselde rondbogen. In de sacristie twee paar, door een deelzuil met dobbelsteenkapiteel, gekoppelde rondboogramen. De toren op rechthoekige plattegrond heeft een zuidelijke entree net onder de afzaat van het trasraam, met een hardstenen latei, onder een rondboograam met natuurstenen aanzetstenen. In de westelijke zijgevel een bifoor als in de sacristie. Op de verdieping twee gekoppelde respectievelijk drie blinde rondboogvensters met afzaten.
INTERIEUR. In het portaal een glas-in-lood deur met florale motieven. In de hal idem, plavuizen en trappehuis met balustrade en glas-in-loodramen met vogels. In de voorkamer, binnenluiken, schuifdeuren en lambrisering, decoratief beschilderd (gestempeld). De zwart marmeren schouw met dobbelsteenkapitelen. De schoorsteenmantel met rondboogfries en consoles. De met geometrische motieven beschilderde balken van het cassetteplafond worden gedragen door acht stenen figuratieve consoles. De achterkamer is vrijwel gelijk aan de voorkamer maar kleiner, met vier figuratieve consoles en met inbouwkasten. In de sacristie het oorspronkelijke kerkmeubilair.
Waardering
De pastorie is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde:
- vanwege de bijzondere en representatieve uitdrukking van een geestelijke stroming.
- vanwege de kwaliteit van het ontwerp en het grotendeels gave, zeldzame interieur en als voorbeeld van een neoromaanse pastorie in het oeuvre van A.C. Bleijs.

Description
On a composite ground plan, erected in grey brickwork in stretcher bond, a pastory consisting of two storeys under gabled and hipped roofs with slates in Maas coverage. In the roof three roof dormers with pitched roof dormer lights, the dormer on the north side is doubled. The actual pastory is a rectangular building volume under a hipped roof with a transverse section under a gabled roof. Between the church and the pastory is an L-shaped building with a small tower in the corner having a pyramidal roof. In the masonry tooth-band string courses, semicircular friezes on lisenes, built-in semicircular arches above the windows and wrought-iron wall anchors. The tooth-band string courses continue through in the L-shaped building. The likewise continuous ashlar course is provided with a weathering. On the storey of the pastory the windows are coupled in pairs by the drip mouldings running into a drip moulding. The pastory has on the south in the rectangular building volume on the ground floor two sash windows with bent plastered reveals. The eastern side facade has on the ground floor three sash windows under plastered semicircular reveals and on the storey three semicircular windows as on the south side. Also on the storey is a semicircular blind window. The northern facade has in the transverse section the same layout as the southern transverse section and in the rectangular building volume just as on the south facade two semicircular windows above two sash windows with plastered reveals. In the middle of the north facade is the back door with to its right a small window. Above the door a coupled and arched cloister window with stained glass under a round window. Next to the pastory a connecting gallery to the church with a wide arched arch, a stepped, natural stone covered buttress and in the roof a roof dormer. In the gallery a door and sash windows to the L-shaped building with the sacristy.
To the left of the southern pastory facade the L-shaped extension with in the facade immediately to the left three semicircular windows. Around the corner two coupled windows under built-in semicircular arches. In the sacristy two pairs, separated by a half-column with checkerboard capital, coupled semicircular windows. The tower on rectangular ground plan has a southern entrance just below the weathering of the ashlar course, with a hardstone lintel, under a semicircular window with natural stone splayings. In the western side facade a bifore as in the sacristy. On the storey two coupled and three blind semicircular windows respectively with weatherings.
INTERIOR. In the porch a stained glass door with floral motifs. In the hall likewise, tiles and staircase with balustrade and stained glass windows with birds. In the front room, interior shutters, sliding doors and wainscoting, decoratively painted (stamped). The black marble fireplace with checkerboard capitals. The mantelpiece with semicircular frieze and consoles. The coffered ceiling with geometrically painted beams is supported by eight stone figurative consoles. The back room is virtually identical to the front room but smaller, with four figurative consoles and with built-in cupboards. In the sacristy the original church furniture.
