Inleiding
Voormalig WOONHUIS verbouwd (nieuwe gevel) in 1910, binnenwerk meest ouder, door de Rijksarchitect A. Mulder in Neo-renaissancestijl. Adolph Mulder was onder Victor de Stuers werkzaam op de afdeling Kunsten & Wetenschappen. Als Rijksbouwmeester voor de Monumenten droeg hij vanaf 1881 zorg voor de begeleiding bij het herstel van historische panden en rijksmonumenten.
Het pand maakt onderdeel uit van de gesloten gevelwand aan de Tinnegietersteeg, binnen het beschermde gezicht en is onlosmakelijk verbonden met het pand "Dit is in Bethlehem" aan de Gasthuisstraat 25. Dit pand is reeds als rijksmonument geregistreerd (mon.nr. 16575) en werd in 1910 door dezelfde architect verbouwd en voorzien van een nieuwe pui.
Omschrijving
Voorgevel over drie bouwlagen opgetrokken in rode baksteen onder een zadeldak met een iets overkragende goot op klossen. De muuropeningen zijn geplaatst onder getoogde strekken. Ter plaatse van de verschillende verdiepingshoogten zijn muurankers aangebracht. Links in de gevel bevindt zich de entree die bestaat uit een paneeldeur met zijlichten. Rechts daarvan twee vensters met glas-in-lood voorzien van luiken. Op de beide verdiepingen daarboven twee kruisvensters met luiken voor de onderramen. Uiterst links in de gevel, eveneens ter plaatse van de beide verdiepingen een klein venster met glas-in-lood voorzien van een luik.
INTERIEUR. De oorspronkelijke indeling van het pand is herkenbaar. Vermeldenswaardig is onder meer het entreeportaal met polychrome vloertegels en de tochtpui met glas-in-loodvulling.

Introduction
Former DWELLING HOUSE remodelled (new facade) in 1910, internal work mostly older, by State Architect A. Mulder in Neo-Renaissance style. Adolph Mulder was employed under Victor de Stuers at the department of Arts & Sciences. As State Master Builder for Monuments, from 1881 onwards he was responsible for supervision of the restoration of historic buildings and national monuments.
The building forms part of the closed facade wall at the Tinnegietersteeg, within the protected townscape and is inextricably linked with the building "Dit is in Bethlehem" at Gasthuisstraat 25. This building is already registered as a national monument (mon.no. 16575) and was remodelled in 1910 by the same architect and provided with a new storefront.
Description
Front facade across three storeys constructed in red brick under a saddle roof with a slightly projecting gutter on corbels. The wall openings are placed under arched stretches. At the level of the various storeys, wall anchors are provided. On the left of the facade is the entrance which consists of a panel door with side lights. To the right of this, two windows with leaded glass equipped with shutters. On both storeys above, two cross windows with shutters for the lower sashes. On the far left of the facade, likewise at the level of both storeys, a small window with leaded glass equipped with a shutter.
INTERIOR. The original layout of the building is recognisable. Notable are, among other things, the entrance vestibule with polychrome floor tiles and the draught partition with leaded-glass infill.
