Inleiding
De CONSISTORIEKAMER in eclectische trant is in 1871 aan de Kapelkerk (monnr. 7237) gebouwd, ter vervanging van een oudere consistorie.
Omschrijving
De consistoriekamer heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en is over één bouwlaag opgetrokken in rode baksteen onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen, waarvan de noklijn loodrecht op de Laat ligt. De puntgevel aan de Laat (ZW) bevat beganegronds twee vierruits rondboogvensters met in de bovenlichten een tracering van drie- en vierpasmotieven en daarboven een roosvenster. Boven de vensters gepleisterde rondboogvormige profiellijsten op kleine consoles. Een vergelijkbare profiellijst bevindt zich rond het roosvenster. Uiterst rechts in de rechter zijgevel een groot venster met kleine roedenverdeling en links daarvan een paneeldeur.

The VESTRY CHAMBER in eclectic style was built in 1871 next to the Kapelkerk (monument no. 7237), replacing an older vestry.
Description
The vestry chamber has a rectangular floor plan and is constructed over one storey in red brick beneath a gabled roof with interlocking Dutch tiles, the ridgeline of which is perpendicular to the Laat. The pointed gable on the Laat (SW) contains on the ground floor two four-pane round-arched windows with tracery of three- and four-foil motifs in the fanlights and above them a rose window. Above the windows are plastered round-arched moulded profiles on small brackets. A similar profile surrounds the rose window. At the far right in the right side gable is a large window with small glazing bar divisions and to the left of it is a panel door.
Valuation
The vestry chamber in eclectic style from 1871 is of general importance for its architectural and cultural-historical value as part of the Kapelkerk in Alkmaar.
