Omschrijving
De TUINAANLEG bestaat onder meer uit lage tuinmuurtjes rond de voortuinen, de trapbordessen, de bloembakken, het verhoogde terras en de bestrating langs de achtergevels, de achteringang met rijwielstalling, de ronde vijver achter de conciergewoning, en de pergola langs de zuidzijde van de binnenhof met aan het begin hiervan het uit de binnenstad afkomstige zandstenen poortje (uit 1616) van de Latijnse school. Het verhoogde terras voor openluchtvoorstellingen is betegeld met gele plavuizen. Vanaf het terras leiden gemetselde trappen (gele baksteen) waartussen dito bloembakken naar het brede, met rode tegels bestrate pad rond het nagenoeg driehoekige binnenterrein.
Waardering
De tuinaanleg is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en tuinhistorische waarde en als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het schoolcomplex "Murmellius".

The GARDEN LAYOUT consists among other things of low garden walls around the front gardens, the landing steps, the flower boxes, the raised terrace and the paving along the rear facades, the rear entrance with bicycle storage, the round pond behind the caretaker's house, and the pergola along the south side of the courtyard with at the beginning of this the sandstone gateway (from 1616) originating from the city centre of the Latin school. The raised terrace for open-air performances is paved with yellow tiles. From the terrace paved stairs (yellow brick) with flower boxes in between of the same material lead to the broad, red-tiled path around the nearly triangular courtyard.
Valuation
The garden layout is of general interest because of its architectural and garden-historical value and as a historically-functional component of the school complex "Murmellius".
