TUINAANLEG uit 1913, deel uitmakend van het complex "Villa Oldenheem", naar ontwerp van Th. Rueter.
Omschrijving
De tuinaanleg omvat de open gazons aan de zuidwest- en zuidoostzijde van het huis die worden omzoomd door restanten van het 19de-eeuwse parkbos met verschillende boomsoorten.
Voor de zuidoostgevel overbruggen twee gemetselde trappen het hoogteverschil naar het lager gelegen tuingedeelte met betonnen waterbassin dat wordt geflankeerd door struiken. Het rechte oost-west georiënteerde pad dat de twee trappen doorsnijdt wordt geaccentueerd door twee tuinpoortjes bestaande uit gepleisterde kolommen met houten pergola. De tuin wordt aan de oostzijde afgeschermd door een tuinmuur, die eindigt bij een van de poortjes.

Description
The garden layout comprises the open lawns on the southwest and southeast side of the house which are bordered by remnants of the 19th-century park wood with various tree species.
In front of the southeast facade two masonry flights of steps bridge the height difference to the lower-lying garden section with concrete water basin which is flanked by shrubs. The straight east-west oriented path which intersects the two flights of steps is accentuated by two garden gateways consisting of rendered columns with wooden pergola. The garden is screened on the east side by a garden wall, which ends at one of the gateways.
Valuation
The garden layout, belonging to the complex "Villa Oldenheem", is of general importance because of its garden-historical value as an example of a combination garden with remnants of the 19th-century park wood and the layout in New Architectural Garden style from the early 20th century, designed in conjunction with the architecture and siting of the house.
