Inleiding
Bij het landhuis 'De Pauwhof' behorend Empire PRIEEL uit 1912. Het prieel ligt ten westen van de dienstwoning, Rijksstraatweg 442, aan de zuidrand van het bos en wordt middels een sloot van de Rijksstraatweg gescheiden. Een gebogen onverhard pad geflankeerd door beukenbomen leidt naar het prieel.
Omschrijving
Boven een hardstenen plint staat een vrijstaand gepleisterd prieel op een rechthoekig grondvlak met een driezijdig gesloten front aan de voorzijde (zuidoost), dat voorzien is van drieruits dubbele deuren. Van deze deuren met een brede aanslaglijst is de middelste uitgevoerd met een bundelprofiel. Deze is toegankelijk via twee stoeptreden van gele machinale baksteen. Het prieel is gedekt met een rieten iets overstekend tentvormig dak.

Het PRIEEL is van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde

Belonging to the country house 'De Pauwhof', an Empire PAVILION dating from 1912. The pavilion lies to the west of the service dwelling, Rijksstraatweg 442, on the south edge of the woodland and is separated from the Rijksstraatweg by a ditch. A curved unmade path flanked by beech trees leads to the pavilion.
Description
Above a hardstone plinth stands a freestanding plastered pavilion on a rectangular ground plan with a three-sided closed front on the front side (south-east), which is provided with three-pane double doors. Of these doors with a wide rebate, the central one is executed with a bundle profile. This is accessible via two steps of yellow machine-made brick. The pavilion is covered with a thatched slightly overhanging tent-shaped roof.
