Inleiding
Voormalige DUBBELE CONCIERGEWONING, behorende bij de uitbreiding van het voormalige bloemenveilinggebouw "Bloemenlust" uit 1928/1930 naar ontwerp van architect J.F. Berghoef (1903 - 1994) in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School. De voormalige dubbele conciërgewoning is vrijstaand gesitueerd aan de zuidwestzijde van het terrein.
Omschrijving
Voormalige dubbele congiërgewoning bestaande uit begane grond en zolderverdieping onder steil zadeldak, boven uitstekende gootlijst, gedekt met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen en voorzien van drie schoorstenen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen. In het onderste gedeelte van de gevel zijn banden van oranje baksteen ingemetseld. Oorspronkelijk waren alle vensters van hout.
De voorgevel (NO) is symmetrisch ingedeeld en bevat in het midden twee topgeveltjes met smalle glas-in-lood-ramen. Voor de linker woning bevindt het venster zich links van de houten deur, die in stijl aansluit bij de deur naar het portaal van zaal II van het veilinggebouw; voor de rechter woning bevindt het venster zich rechts van de deur. In de zijgevels (ZO, NW) bevinden zich enkele vensters. In de achtergevel (ZW) bevinden zich bij beide woningen een venster, deur en uitbouw. In het dakvlak zijn twee dakkapellen geplaatst.

De voormalige dubbele congiërgewoning is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch waarde als historisch-funtioneel onderdeel van het bloemenveilingcomplex "Bloemenlust" en als gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een dubbele woning gebouwd in 1928/1930 in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School naar het ontwerp van J.F. Former DOUBLE CARETAKER'S HOUSE, belonging to the extension of the former flower auction building "Bloemenlust" from 1928/1930 to the design of architect J.F. Berghoef (1903 - 1994) in the style of the Amsterdam School. The former double caretaker's house is situated as a detached building on the southwest side of the site.
Description
Former double caretaker's house consisting of ground floor and loft storey under a steep gabled roof, above overhanging guttering, covered with red improved Dutch tiles and provided with three chimneys. The facades are built in red brick. In the lower part of the facade, bands of orange brick are laid in. Originally all windows were of wood.
The front facade (NE) is symmetrically arranged and contains in the middle two small stepped gables with narrow leaded windows. For the left dwelling the window is situated to the left of the wooden door, which is stylistically consistent with the door to the portico of hall II of the auction building; for the right dwelling the window is situated to the right of the door. In the side facades (SE, NW) are several windows. In the rear facade (SW) are a window, door and outbuilding at both dwellings. In the roof plane are two roof dormers placed.
Valuation
The former double caretaker's house is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a historically-functional component of the flower auction complex "Bloemenlust" and as a well-preserved example of a double house built in 1928/1930 in the style of the Amsterdam School to the design of J.F. Berghoef.
