Inleiding
ERFSCHEIDING, behorende bij het complex 'doopsgezinde kerk Zijdstraat', in 1926-1927 geplaatst naar het ontwerp van J.F. Staal, in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School met elementen uit de Nieuwe Zakelijkheid, aan de noordoostzijde van de Zijdstraat ter afsluiting van het terrein tussen de Zijdstraat en de Gedempte Sloot waarop zich de doopsgezinde kerk met voormalige kosterswoning en het vrij staande voormalige dubbele woonhuis bevinden.
Omschrijving
De als een visueel geheel met de gebouwen ontworpen erfscheiding bestaat uit een lage gemetselde muur met ezelsrug, opgetrokken in groengrijze baksteen waarin zwarte tegels zijn verwerkt, evenwijdig aan de weg, met een gedeelte haaks op de weg ter hoogte van de teruggelegen westhoek voor het voormalige dubbele woonhuis. De erfscheiding loopt over in de zuidwestgevel van de voormalige woning. Aan de linkerzijde zijn smeedijzeren hekken geplaatst tussen pijlers met lantaarn. In het verlengde van de zuidwestgevel van de woning is eveneens een smeedijzeren hek geplaatst. De hekken hebben een dichte plaat aan de onderzijde waarboven stijlen in rechte hoeken.

PROPERTY BOUNDARY FENCE, belonging to the complex 'Mennonite church Zijdstraat', placed in 1926-1927 to the design of J.F. Staal, in the style of the Amsterdam School with elements from the New Objectivity, on the northeast side of the Zijdstraat as a closure of the site between the Zijdstraat and the Gedempte Sloot on which are situated the Mennonite church with former caretaker's house and the free-standing former double residential house.
Description
The property boundary fence, designed as a visual whole with the buildings, consists of a low rendered wall with a half-hipped form, constructed in greyish-green brick in which black tiles are incorporated, parallel to the road, with a section perpendicular to the road at the height of the recessed west corner for the former double residential house. The property boundary fence continues into the southwest facade of the former house. On the left side wrought-iron fences are placed between pillars with lanterns. In the extension of the southwest facade of the house is likewise a wrought-iron fence placed. The fences have a solid panel at the base above which uprights in right angles.
