Omschrijving
Deze kerkhof-KAPEL op vierkant grondplan bestaat uit een gemetselde verhoging met altaar en vier zuilen die een hoofdgestel met zadeldak ondersteunen. Het bouwwerk werd in de periode 1925-1935 gebouwd in opdracht van pastoor Van Riel.
De gemetselde verhoging biedt in de zijden plaats aan negen graven. Hiervan zijn er twee benut: aan de voorzijde het graf van pastoor Van Riel (1945) en aan de linker zijde het graf van G. Willems (1968), bouwer van deze kapel. Aan de linker en rechter zijde leidt een gemetseld trapje omhoog. Op de verhoging is een bakstenen rustaltaar voor het H. Sacrament geplaatst. Midden op het altaar staat een houten kruis met stenen corpus.
In de uitgespaarde hoeken van de gemetselde verhoging staan vier vrijstaande Toscaanse zuilen op hoge voetstukken. De zuilen zijn afkomstig van het kasteel te Wezel. De zuilen dragen een vlak hoofdgestel van beton. Het afsluitende dak bestaat uit een zadeldak tussen topgevels. Het dak is gedekt met schubvormige leien. De wit gepleisterde puntgevels aan de voor- en achterzijde zijn voorzien van het Christusmonogram en het alpha- en omegateken. De geveltop aan de voorzijde wordt bekroond door een ijzeren kruis.

Opmerkelijk voor een rooms-katholieke kapel is de klassieke verschijningsvorm. De kapel is van belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van het religieuze bewustzijn van de overwegend rooms katholieke gemeenschap ter plaatse.

Description
This churchyard CHAPEL on a square floor plan consists of a mortared platform with altar and four columns supporting a roof structure with a gabled roof. The building was constructed in the period 1925-1935 on the commission of pastor Van Riel.
The mortared platform offers space in its sides for nine graves. Of these, two are in use: on the front side the grave of pastor Van Riel (1945) and on the left side the grave of G. Willems (1968), builder of this chapel. On the left and right sides a mortared staircase leads upwards. On the platform is placed a brick resting altar for the Holy Sacrament. In the centre of the altar stands a wooden cross with stone corpus.
In the recessed corners of the mortared platform stand four free-standing Tuscan columns on high pedestals. The columns come from the castle at Wezel. The columns bear a flat roof structure of concrete. The concluding roof consists of a gabled roof between pointed gables. The roof is covered with scale-shaped slate. The white plastered pointed gables on the front and rear sides are provided with the Christogram and the alpha and omega symbols. The gable top on the front side is crowned by an iron cross.
