Omschrijving MOESTUINENSEMBLE met TUINMANSWONING en SLANGENMUUR (3):
Het moestuinensemble van het complex historische buitenplaats Hilverbeek vindt waarschijnlijk zijn oorsprong in een moestuinaanleg van rond 1731. De moestuin ligt ten oosten van het hoofdhuis en de tuinderswoning ligt tegenover het koetshuis langs de huidige toegangsweg. De slangenmuur bevindt zich langs de noordzijde van de tuin. Na de afbraak van de oorspronkelijke bouwhuizen op het voorplein van het huis werd in 1808 de huidige tuinmanswoning gebouwd. Dit is een vrij lang op rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken gebouw van één bouwlaag onder zadeldak tussen topgevels. Het gehele gebouw is gepleisterd. De voorgevel is op onregelmatige wijze ingedeeld met zes vensterassen en een deurpartij. De vensters bevatten roedeverdeelde schuiframen. De slangenmuur is vermoedelijk gebouwd in de periode 1724 - 1738 door Hendrick Bicker. De muur bestaat uit twee delen onderbroken door een toegangspoort. Direct na de poort is de muur over enkele meters niet slingerend maar recht. Bouwsporen duiden er op dat zich hier een kas heeft bevonden. Aan de achterzijde zijn enkele steunberen aangebracht.
Waardering
Het MOESTUINENSEMBLE met TUINMANSWONING en SLANGENMUUR is van algemeen belang vanwege:

Description VEGETABLE GARDEN ENSEMBLE with GARDENER'S DWELLING and SERPENTINE WALL (3):
The vegetable garden ensemble of the complex historic country estate Hilverbeek probably finds its origin in a vegetable garden layout from around 1731. The vegetable garden lies to the east of the main house and the gardener's dwelling lies opposite the coach house along the current access road. The serpentine wall is located along the north side of the garden. After the demolition of the original outbuildings on the forecourt of the house, the present gardener's dwelling was built in 1808. This is a fairly long building raised on a rectangular ground plan of one storey under a gabled roof between gable ends. The entire building is rendered. The front facade is arranged in an irregular manner with six window bays and a door section. The windows contain glazing-bar sash windows. The serpentine wall was presumably built in the period 1724 - 1738 by Hendrick Bicker. The wall consists of two parts interrupted by an access gate. Immediately after the gate, the wall is straight for several metres rather than serpentine. Building traces indicate that a greenhouse stood here. On the rear side, some buttresses have been added.
Valuation
The VEGETABLE GARDEN ENSEMBLE with GARDENER'S DWELLING and SERPENTINE WALL is of general importance because of:
